1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Contacting Iplehouse about possible bootleg

Apr 15, 2013

    1. This is probably in the wrong forum. Please move if needed.

I found that ebay user dorani.rina2012 has just posted a Iplehouse EID Bibane for sale under a generic title of SD girl doll. I know Iplehouse doesn't have resellers. How can I contact Iplehouse about this? I've never purchased a doll from them, so I don't have a contact that way.

    2. I also see a couple of other dolls for sale by them but I don't recognize the molds at this time. If we can ID them and contact they appropriate companies that would be great I think.

    3. How do you know it's a bootleg and not just someone selling their doll secondhand?

    4. I agree that it might not be a bootleg - it might be a real doll being sold by someone who doesn't know much about the hobby.

    5. Exactly what everyone above is saying. Don't jump to conclusions so quickly.

    6. I definitely think there's a chance it's not a bootleg. Chinese companies often give discounts to Chinese buyers. This could just be a case of someone realising they can buy BJDs cheap and sell them dear to people without access to the Chinese market discount without much trouble. That could explain the lack of details given - the seller might not be in the hobby at all.

    7. If you look through their stuff, you'd see it has nothing to do with dolls. Many of the items are obvious knock-offs of well known products.

I would question why a group/person located in China (according to the ebay info) lists the product in Russian (or some other European language I don't recognize). And there are no actual doll pictures. They've taken company website photos and cropped them.

The IH doll is priced similarly to the real cost with a HUGE shipping fee. I'm assuming the same for the other dolls listed.

I find it all too suspicous for it to be some random doll owner or third-party.

    8. I ALSO think it strange , the shipping fee and some of the text in Russian/location of item China?

you can ask a question {more photos, for example} and if they don't respond then report them to ebay[for the ship info/auction details} a seller is not allowed to mark up shipping like that by ebay rules
and email the link to Iplehouse for the photo copywrite
someone who innocently didn't know bout a doll wold not go get the doll photo off the company website /and not know the price, they are trying to rip off a buyer and or ebay/paypal/customs I agree

it almost looks like someones ebay account got hacked, the seller bio says location of seller in Israel and the feedbacks are both great and awefull
this is a puzzle, the are listing 3 bjds at the moment

    9. To me, it's all around weird :/

    10. The text translated also says:
      powder of make up
      bleaching
      R yellow full set

It's a fake, doubt they even have the dolls in question.

    11. The OP was asking how to get in contact with Iplehouse. This part is really easy - all you have to do is sign up to their website and post to their Q&A board with your concerns. :)

You can also report listings directly to eBay using their report feature (which is on every sales page.)

Iplehouse also has an unofficial (unregistered) representative on DoA - please post in Ask the Moderators if you would like to get in touch with them.
