differance between Volks F01 and fcs F05 - Fours Sisters questions

    1. HI,


      I was looking for what I recently found out was referred to as 'the 4 sisters head' since Nana, Megu, Kira and Sara are all the same mold just different make up.


      Forgive me for all my questions:

      Do these come in pureskin and old skin?

      Also I am a little confused about the numbers, should I be looking for a f01 if I want a Megu sd10?

      Or if I happen to see a f05 ( if that is even right) should I get that one since its the same?

      acck I am sorry for all the questions.

      Its just last year I made a mistake and bought a full choice head and I didnt know that they had updated it and even though they were the same fcs numbers I was in for a big surpise and was very bummed !

      so I dont want to make the same mistake again..

      The "Four Sisters" head is actually the very first Super Dollfie head ever released by Volks, so you will find heads on the secondhand market in both oldskin and pureskin -- you can also choose to purchase a standard edition Megu, Nana, or Sara new from Volks in either pureskin or pureskin UV protect.

      Also I am a little confused about the numbers, should I be looking for a f01 if I want a Megu sd10?

      F-01 is the current FCS designation for the Four Sisters head, so an F-01 would be the same headmold as Megu, yes.

      Or if I happen to see a f05 ( if that is even right) should I get that one since its the same?

      The F-03 (or old F-05) head is the sleeping version of the Four Sisters head -- same face, but the eyes are completely closed (unless the head is modded, of course).

      Basically, if you want an open-eyed Four Sisters head, look for: F-01, Sara, Nana, Kira, or Megu. All five of these will be the same basic sculpt -- depending on when the head was manufactured, you can find the head in oldskin, pureskin, or pureskin UV protect. If you want a sleeping Four Sisters, look for F-03 or old F-05.

    3. Here is a great website about FCS. I recommend you read it. It explains how to do an FCS and shows all the different molds and numbers. It also explains resin.
