Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. Difference between Old resin & New Pureskin SD13 girl body?

    1. I want to bid a SD13 girl body but I have no idea that are there any differences between Old & New SD13 girl body?

    2. The old ones are made of oldskin resin, have high heel feet, and their necks look a bit more slender.

      The new SD13 girl bodies are made of pureskin resin (more luminous looking than the old resin but the same color), have regular feet, and their necks are somewhat thicker.

      There are probably other differences, but I don't know so hopefully someone else will be able to help you. :)

    3. The oldskin knees are different as well, the ball is on the thigh instead of on the calf and she can bend her knees to a 45* angle instead of 90*. She will also have "butt hooks" when sitting, where as the pureskin will not. Do you have a link to a specific auction? (Or if you want to keep it secret you can PM me privately. I have no interest in any more big dolls...)

      There was a comparrison page in the pic request gallery, but I can't find it ATM. >.<

      I think there's big differences btw Oldskin and Pureskin 13 girl body?

      and I want to know more on the size of the Oldskin 13 girl body (standard 4 sisters's body). Is it taller and slimmer than the new one? or there's no big differences? I wondered coz some said New 13 body is similar to new 10 girl body......

      And yes, I can't find any comparison pic on web too, so I hope you guys can help >.<

    5. I find that the oldskin body and the pureskin body in posing, size and overall feel are not at all very different. It comes down to the small mechanical and aesthetic things and which you, as her future owner, would prefer. Each will be able to wear the same sized clothes, have the same length of arms and legs (unless one body happens to be from an FCS), and will fit the same sized heads. I don't even think they resculpted the torsos for pureskin! The only major issue I find is that the oldskin dolls come with default high heel feet, and neither oldskin or pureskin optional flat feet can be used without modding.

    12. I'm trying to find an SD13 body for my Yori head, but she's version 1. Because of the neck and resin differences does anyone know if she'll fit properly on a pureskin body or is it better to stick with an oldskin body?

    13. All Yoris are pureskin. The switch from oldskin to pureskin was made late 2003 or early 2004, I don't quite recall.

      So buy your Yori a pureskin body, and you'll be fine!
