Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. Difference in Ani Genders?

    1. Hi all. I'm very new and only just thinking about getting my first doll. I've had my eye on my friend's female Ani for yeaaaaaars, and I was really happy when I saw that the price was much cheaper than I thought.

      Anyway- is the same head used regardless of gender? Like, is it just a genderless "Ani" head on either a male or female body? In the pics on the eluts site I like the boy so much more, but is this just a change in face-up, eyes and wig?

      I'd really appreciate some answers. Thank you!!

    2. I would imagine that the head could be placed on either a male or female body. From what I've seen most of the dolls heads are pretty feminine and can be used as either male or female is just depends on clothing and how you do the faceup.

    3. I don't know about that specific head but a lot of heads can be unisex. I plan on using three Crobidoll Thor heads to make twin female characters (PM me if you really want to know ^^'). There are actually many molds I think would make beautiful girls/handsome boys even though thats not how they were created/intended.

    5. I think the question was are the head sculpts the same, which they are. They have different faceups, and the boy and girl bodies are different, but the head sculpt is the same.

    7. *Points at the above responses* Hahaha, all of the boy/girl Kid Delfs use the same head mould but with different faceups (I THINK the boy Cherry might be the one exception to that, but I can't be sure). I don't like the new photos of the Ani girl on Luts, but I have a friend who has an older Ani with the original faceup and she is adorable. If you wanted a KD Ani girl and were put off by the faceup, my suggestion would be to buy the girl you want and then just do the faceup yourself, or send it off to a customizer here on DoA to do a faceup the way you want it. :)

      I'm psyched too! ^_^ I have a look in mind, yeah- long blonde hair, violet eyes, punky/cute clothes. For one character, anyway. I'm lumping a bunch on to one doll so as to not buy any more.
