Disney Japan creates one off Super Dollfie models

Oct 22, 2013

    1. Idk if this is supposed to be here, but I think it totally deserves a mention, especially for the Disney fans!

Currently, it seems like Disney Japan has some kind of an expo, and they collaborated with Volks to create two one off models based off Disney characters.

There is Rapunzel from Tangled, and she is a Liselotte head on a SDGr body.

The other is a gijinka/humanized Jack Skellington, and he is a SD17 with a Reisner head.

It seems like due to copyright stuff, they will obviously only sell it to Japan residents. Oh, and this is the official Yahoo Auction account of Disney. EDIT: Nevermind. It seems like non Japan residents do have a chance to win these beauties, which says so on the page top there.

The two dolls were on display at Tokyo Disney Resort.

    2. I am absolutely loving these two dolls. I wish they did more collaborations (like a Flynn Rider who would steal my heart and wallet).

I am also absolutely stunned at the current price for Reisner!Jack. Seriously. Wow. I hope Rapunzel gets more love, too, because she's the one I would go for.

The outfits are fantastic and look incredibly well-made. So happy they teamed up to make these BJD one-offs!

    3. I was amazed by the white "skeleton" gloves. If I understood right, these are real gloves, not extra pair of hands?

    4. OMGGGGG they are looking great:D
      But their prices... :aeyepop:

    5. Yeah, they're gloves. You can see so in the picture showing the individual pieces of the outfit.

    6. Wow, I'm just going to sit here and take in all the creativity here!, I always wondered what Jack would look like as a Bjd. I can't stress how much I love this thank you for sharing this ; u ;! but I really like how they put the gloves on him! I wasn't expecting that. And I really love his eyes, how they look like they might just rob you of your soul o - o <3333

    7. These dolls are amazing. Rapunzel is just beautiful, and they put in all the detail. I also can't help oggling Jack, if I could, I would try to get him! This is such a surprise to me that Disney tried making BJDs from their characters :D

The money for them is serious, but they are just gorgeous!

    8. Rapunzel looks amazing.

    9. Oh. My. God.
Nightmare before christmas is one of my favorite movie of always. And now they do something like this, oh my godicantsgvdfgdfhdfghfghfghn
      I neeeeeeed him Q__________Q
Rapunzel is cute, sure, and the put so much effort in the details... but I don't think her espression suit her so well >__< (but she's still so cuuuteee ;__;)

    10. These are gloves. I thought it was an extra pair of hands too!

Yes...The price...! Jack Skellington is at 2 million yen!

    11. this is a really cool collab and I really like the jack skeleton (even thought I dont care much for nightmare before christmas) but of all the disney princesses they had to choose from i mean... I dont know :p I think they could have done something a lot more creative. Rapunzel could be from anyone and probably look just as cool or even better

    12. Wow wow I love rapunzel!

    13. WOW. Thanks so much for posting those. I love both of them, how fun to see them!

    14. I want the Rapunzel one and I don't even have SD girls XD am I dreaming or 2million yen is like $20,000? I don't understand Japanese but is the doll also included in the auction? wow...

    15. GORGEOUS!! BUt dear LORD those pries so far o.o; *fans self*

    16. Yep it is included in the auction.

    17. Disney and Volks need to hook up for a Dolpa and do some more of these collabs. Little Yo's as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy...and our favorite princess's and prince's as SDs....

      T___T

These two lovelies are just amazing! $20,000 for Jack!! Man... definitely the most expensive BJD I've ever witnessed being sold.

    18. Looks like an idea for a suggestion petition~

    19. What a great idea:celebrate, I hope they add more characters from other movies. I personally would like to see Kingdom Hearts characters. (I'm done for if they release a Sora, Roxas or Ventus:doh).

    20. Wow, I can't believe the prices!! *_* The Jack looks SO good. I am now totally tempted to make a Jack out of a Doll Chateau doll because they are so thin, very tempting.
