1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you have a blog or website JUST for dolls?

Mar 9, 2013

    1. If so, what sort of blog is it? Is it strictly photography? A "project" blog? A diary about BJDs? A blog usedd solely to RP your dolls? Maybe a blog dedicated to storylines you've given your dolls? I'm curious, because although I don't have one, some threads get locked because they're more suited to dolly blogs... and I figured hey, maybe it seems other people are doing this?! It seems like a neat idea to me. So who is doing it, and what is your doll blog about?

    2. Yep, I do ^_^ Its mostly a place to put my projects and also my stories and photographs - it is, of course, styled very fittingly for these dolls: http://thebjdhotel.livejournal.com/. I think these blogs are really interesting and it's cool to watch people develop ideas for their dolls.

    3. yep i have one. http://shinigamishishi.livejournal.com

the blog is dedicated to my collections (BJDs, nendoroids and pullips dolls) but most of the entries I posted are about my BJDs =))

    4. I don't have a blog, but I have my own doll photography website.

    5. I have a tumblr for my doll stuff to keep it separated from my fandom stuff on my main tumblr account. The doll tumblr gets pictures, doll thoughts, rants, whatever doll related stuff I feel like posting about.

    6. I have my BJD blog, Dear Resin. Its a 'general' doll blog - I post photostories, hand-made doll clothes, meet photos, and random musings. I also have a BJD tumblr here, but I mostly use it to browse BJD photos and share my photos and new blog posts. :)

    7. Your blog is really nice!

I have a regular tumblr for all kinds of things that I occasionally post bjds on, but I'd love to make a blog just for that. Including all the things you mentioned.

    8. Please take care to avoid mentioning or linking to blogs that serve as shops as this is the same as any other kind of advertising sales and carries the same consequences: a warning for the first instance, and a 30 day suspension from the Marketplace for the second, longer suspensions or Marketplace bans may follow if advertising continues.

If you have any questions, please post in Ask the Moderators.

    9. Yes, I have one tumblr blog which is simply my own doll photos with a mixed bag of quotations that I find inspiring or amusing, and appropriate for the photos. I occasionally interject a personal note, but it is not a diary-type blog.
The link is in my signature.

    10. I've got one linked in my sig that I'm just started to get into updating again.

    11. I have a blog for my dolls...I use it to have a place to vent or rant about what I've messed up or tried to do...WIP photos, pretty photos, new dolls, dolls I like or might want......the usual stuff. I also have a link in my sig.
I like having the BJD blog to keep the doll stuff separate from my art on DA...that way people who don't want to read about it don't have too!

    12. Thanks MicroRNA! You should make a blog! Its nice to document and share the things you do with your doll.

    13. Yes I do! Mostly a place to relate all doll thoughts/happenings to, because I don't have much in the way of friends sharing the hobby. I keep meaning to add profiles of my various dolls, but that has yet to happen.

    14. I think I should probably do this. I kinda feel like if I don't I'll end up getting one somebody's nerves.

I'm an aspiring illustrator and most of the people who follow my blogs probably don't care about my dolls and doll-related rants, they just want to see my drawings. Conversely, anyone who wants to follow me because they happen to like my dolls probably don't care too much for my scribbles and pseudo-intellectual musings.

It IS a bit difficult though, because up until now, my dolls represented my characters so sometimes I feel like there's an overlap of interests there - sometimes I feel like I should post drawings to go with the dolls, sometimes the dolls really belong with drawings.

.... Also I'm just terrible with managing more than a few things at once. I think one of the blogs (probably the doll blog) would get neglected pretty frequently. It seems... easier to just dump everything into one random thought space. But I probably should start learning how to manage multiple things at once. ><

    15. GalaxyShi and I share a doll site that is mostly a blog (with an added gallery). We just sort of post whatever we feel like to it now, so long as it is doll related. TBH we don't update it very often <_<

(It's the banner link in my sig)

    16. I have a group blog for bjd girls. I feel like there's so many boy BJD's out there that we have yet to see so many of the beautiful girls people have to offer :)

    17. I finally converted my website to primarily doll things. It was headed that way for a long time. As for a blog... that part of it is still floating around.
