It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Do you Like your Dollstown doll?

Aug 5, 2008

    1. Hi! I am thinking about getting a Dollstown doll (although it isn't really like I need another doll). I have not seen one in person, but I find their face sculpts so interesting. So, basically I am wondering what people think of them once they get them... Can you please share? Thank you!

    2. I think the important question here is... how do YOU feel about them? It shouldn't matter if there are several out there who don't like the sculpt. The only thing that should matter is if you like it or not.

    3. What size are you asking about? You'll get more accurate responses if you have your question in the right size specific subforum. :)

I have a 15 years boy Mui and I love him!

    4. I fell in love with Dollstown as soon as I saw their photos...I now have many and I love them...all of them. If you are asking whether they compare to their photos I would say yes...if you like the photos you will most likely like them in person!:)

    5. Yes - thank you. I was trying to find out if they compare well to their photos - I know that some dolls don't so much. Did you get the body? If so, does it stand/sit, etc. well?

    6. I have a Yeondu doll and it takes some get used to to me. I am so used to Volks and CP molds that once I saw a doll that look more human than any others I had seen, I was a bit disappointed. ~Gus

    7. I have 20....2 of them did not stand well and they replace the legs for me. They pose wonderfully. The Elf body is so beautiful!I prefer the more realistic sculpts so I love these kids....totally different from Volks and most others. I sold most of my dolls when I got these. I kept only 3 non Dollstown BJDS.

    8. I only have ordered a boy body, and this is the most beautiful I've ever seen, the resin is fabulous, the sculpt is awesome, he stands better than any of my other doll bodies.
The only aspect in which the Volks body is better, is the sitting pose.
The ordering/service with Dollstown was smooth and the communication perfect.
I have nothing but good to say about this company.

If I can, I will buy a whole doll next time because I also love the sculpts of the heads.

    9. Ahem...Like is to small a word to describe how I feel about Dollstown.
In the time I have had had my six Dollstown full dolls I have tried to have a few others but each time I feel so good about both Bodies and heads that I end up selling any none DT dolls:).
I have had some problems with posing my DT boy and find Ganga (5yr body), more limited in movement but Marbledhalls is right about the elf body, it is sublime and the most beautiful body right down to the fingertips.

Never a problem with ordering and always feel very safe in the whole ordering process so I can't speak highly enough for Dollstown and am going for a 13 girl next. Can't wait:aheartbea.
Er.. Marbledhalls, did you really say the number 20-2??? Wow and gulp and turning six shades of green here.

    10. I have a 15 Boy Hue, and I would never trade him for any doll in the world. He is by far the most amazing doll I've ever seen. Truly my dream doll.

    11. I love my Dollstown so much in fact other then my Poppy who is my smallest that is all I have here. I have 7 that are all DT body and head and an 8th one who has the DT head, but an AOD body. But that may change if I am not liking body and will order her a DT body and sell the AOD one. Depends. But I love the faces and I love the bodies so after collecting for 20 months these are pretty much it for me. Hugs, MK

    12. Do I like my Dollstown doll?

Estella was my very first DT gal a long time ago....I was totally blown away by her beauty and her poseability....I just had to have the rest of the DT crew.....I can not compare how wonderful they are with my other dolls....I am just not interested as much in them!.........I kept posting lots of photos of my crew on here....and not a week went past without questions about them!.....It's so good that they are all(with the exception of Susie and Triste) available from Dollstown now........So, yes, I LOVE my Dollstown dolls :aheartbea.....I look foward with anticipation to who AnJonghak and Torre make next.....;)

      xen :)

    13. It was a big problem for me that the 13age body's lower legs would flip backwards at the knee. I find the sculpts compelling, but the overall engineering lacking... just to be perfectly honest! Wiring helped, but... still, it's something you might like to know!

    14. WOW Raven, Thats too bad. I did have the issue with the two 7 year bodies but all my big ones(knock on wood0 stand nicely. Some are new and i have not tried them...I will tomorrow.

    16. I have that problem with both of my elf bodies. It's the same leg on both, so I'm assuming it's a design thing. I also have a bit of a problem with one leg on my 5year body. My 13 year body's legs are fine. I love Dollstown girls, so I overlook the funny leg thing on my dolls.

    17. I love the way my 15 girl looks. The weight and texture of her resin are wonderful and it was very easy to paint her. I do wish she had the poseablity of the 15 boy body. Apparently, AJH didn't think girls should be able to slouch. :sweat

    18. I have a Seola7. She looks BETTER than the photos, even without a face-up, and she poses just wonderfully.

    19. Yes. My Dollstown Mui (15boy body) is one of my favorite BJDs--the body sits and poses very naturally, and both the head and body sculpts are really distinctive. AnJongHaK is so pleasant and responsive to order from, too--I really enjoy the process of buying from Dollstown, as well as having the doll. I'm planning to order a Yeondu with the 15girl body soon, and someday I would like to have a Ganga or a Soph.
