1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. There is a discussion topic about layways here -> http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php/533023-What-are-your-opinions-on-layaway

I know that some companies do offer layaways, and that sellers in the market place do offer layaways, but this is not really a discussion about that I would like to hear your opinions on length of layaways in the topic that I just linked above.

      This is just a poll.
      Which do you prefer?

Short layways, ( 2 months and less)
      Long Layaways ( 3-6 months)
      Longer Layaways (6+ months)

    2. For me it's the longest the better since it allows me to budget in the long run and small payments mean you can still go through with them even if unexpected things come along. I'm pretty patient so I have no other problems with them~

    3. I think the longest layaway I've gotten into is a 6 month layaway. I try not to get into layaway though and if i do I end up paying them off early. Still it is nice to have the option of longer layaway until I have enough to pay them off.

    4. If the waiting period is long, I prefer a long layaway. It makes me feel like I'm working towards the doll's arrival rather than just waiting (and why spend all my money at once?) ^^;

    5. The longest I've found is six months, but I've definitely taken advantage of it. If I could use longer layaways, I would. The longer the layaway, the more expensive a doll I can get. It makes dolls that would be out of my reach available.
I should mention, probably, that I always end up paying my layaway off early, but I like the option of continuing payments instead.

    6. I prefer to agree upon a long layaway (3-6 months), but with the option to pay more when I can. I've only done two layaways with actual companies, and one allowed me to send more than one payment per month, which was cool.

I don't have a ton of money always sitting in my bank account, so I like when people/companies work with me. I've paid all my layaways off early thus far, with the exception of the one company who wanted the exact scheduled payment at the exact scheduled time.

    7. when the doll is a pre-order and takes long for delivery I like to pay with layaway option so that I am ready with paying when the doll is for delivery- and of course when it is an expensive doll I like layaway of 3 months - so long layaway.

    8. I prefer long ones because it's allow me to pay my other expenses and to have the doll :)

    9. I think the longest I've seen is 12 months!That's for Twigling's dolls.

The longest layaway I've had is 6 months (I've still got two months left on that, too) - I normally go for 2 or 3 if I go for a layaway (the only dolls I've put on layaway have had the duration dictated in part by the cost - so orders between certain amounts can have a certain length layaway, more expensive ones can have longer etc). I prefer as short as is still affordable.

    10. Short whenever I can help it :) I hate the feeling of owing money lol

    11. The longer the better! I like to know that I have the option to pay a tiny amount. I do like to pay a bit more each month and try to pay it off early though.

    12. I prefer the longest layaway. I don't know why but it makes me actually spend less because having something on layaway means to me that I shouldn't buy anything else.

    13. I am the same way when I have something on layaway. Right now I have DC Agnes on a really long layaway, and every time I see something I might like to buy (be it an impulse buy or dining out vs cooking at home) I think "I could use this to pay off Agnes sooner."

I like the option of a long layaway, but I would prefer to pay the layaway off as soon as possible.

    14. I have not yet put a doll on layaway, but I almost had to. It would be easier to have a longer layaway since I can manage my money better and not worry so much about having to pay a large amount at once or in a short amount of time.

    15. Usually when I want a doll, I'll try to pay in full but my family goes through my bank accounts so they'll know and they'll scream.
I've since discovered that if I use layaway, they wouldn't be able to tell.

    16. It depends!

If I'm the buyer, I prefer up to 6 months to be allowed (depending on price) since it makes budgeting easier, but I usually pay it off in less than half that time. I usually request a layaway to be about twice what I think I can handle, then pay it off early. I just don't want to promise money I don't have on a tight schedule.

If I'm the seller, I prefer shorter because in my experience, the longer the layaway, the more likely the buyer is to change their mind on buying and not complete the sale, or the more likely they are to forget.

I prefer transactions to be over as quickly as possible, regardless of if I'm buying or selling.

    17. The longer, the better. Definitely. :wiggle

    18. I prefer a shorter layaway, as I dislike the feeling of owing money. *_*

    19. Short, if I can afford it. I always try to pay off my layaway early, especially if it's a second hand doll from a member here.

    20. Longer layaway, since when i order it tend to be either a limited or bulk orders and it just not one place, it a few place since all their timing seem to match >.> so it need to be longer for me to spread it out evenly :XD:
