1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Do you Youtube?

May 14, 2014

    1. I love watching Youtube videos of people showing off their dolls, hauls, tutorials etc.

I would love to make my own videos but I'm self conscious about my teeth and know how cruel people on the internet can be.

So I want to know do you have a Youtube channel? If you don't, what is stopping you from making one?

    2. I've made one YouTube video, a box opening, but I don't usually have the patience to do a video ;) I prefer photography myself.

    3. I do make video's. When I first found out about the hobby the YouTube community was the first place I was familiar with. Everyone was extremely supportive and kind to each other. I decided I would join in and it's definitely full of awesome people.

    4. I really don't think you should be self conscious :) when it comes down to it usually bjd addicts are the only ones watching the videos
and I like to think in our little net work we all support each other. Well I support everyone I the hobby :) I never like to judge people or their dolls.

i have also been watching a lot of youtube bjd prompts lately and thinking of making my own for fun. I am a bit shy but I think what the heck it would be fun! :)

    5. I decided when I first got into BJDs that I wanted to do body review videos. I had seen some of Asenva's Junkyspot reviews, but I wanted to make something a little more detailed and only focus on functionality. I noticed that my first videos are really...slow. When I did Bambicrony and Sugarble (I did them the same day), I had a cold. I hurried through them because I do my videos in one take and I didn't want to have to clear my throat in the middle of one. When I played them back I liked it much better, so now I don't drag along.

I am a little self-conscious about my voice, but I've gotten more confident and don't worry about it much anymore now that I've done a few. Remember that you don't actually have to be in the videos yourself if you don't want to. There's no reason for me to actually appear in any of my videos so far, so you can only see my hands (though I may have to when I get into the bigger dolls!) I agree, people can be cruel - and honestly I expected some douchebags here and there. But as Kentarin D'Ley has pointed out, it's people in the niche BJD community that are most likely going to post something, and they tend to be some of the nicest people around. I say go for it! :aheartbea

    6. I'll watch the videos if they were informative. But I've recently discovered some BJD owners have a really soothing voice so I just play their vids and listen to them talk.

I haven't seen a lot of vids but most have nice comments posted on them.

    7. While it is interesting to watch BJD videos, this discussion about youtube channels is off topic for this forum.
Many members do box opening, tutorial, and review videos and are welcome to post links to these in the appropriate subforums.
