1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Sebastian, NO! That pie is for the dollie meetup!

Since the element in our oven has apparently decided to crap out on us, all I want to do lately is polymer clay work. I had to go to my mom's to bake this.

    2. I posted your quote on my FB (with proper attribution). It was shared within four minutes!

    3. Me: I'm becoming an internet meme!
Mr. Thess: That's great. A meme is a terrible thing to waste.
      Me: ::glare::

    4. :XD:

And oooo, that pie looks good, fake or not. :drool

    5. Definitely meme-worthy!!! :D

Heading off to the Austin BJDC in a few days... (just needed to say something dolly-related)

    6. Hmmm... thread hasn't zipped along as far as I thought it would in the two days since I checked it last.... You people disappoint me. So much slacking off in the chatter department while everyone seems to be cleaning and... wait, I just spent the last couple of days cleaning my bedroom/craftroom so that I can finally see the floor and open the lower drawers, and because I was busy with that I haven't been here, and... Never mind! :) I never realize just how mand pieces of leather I have!

Okay, this may sound like a noob question, but I swear it's not. I'm used to company wait times saying something like 40 days, which of course means working days excluding weekends/holidays. But what about when it says the wait time is 3-4 weeks? Is that whole weeks, or the number of working days equal to 3-4 weeks meaning 21-28 days less weekends/holidays, or what? 'Cause I'm getting tired of waiting for my hands and feet.

    7. Oh! I almost forgot to share a creepy-doll moment! While cleaning my room and sorting things into small decorative boxes, I've ended up with several boxes without labels on them. Yesterday I opened one small box expecting to see craft supplies, and instead was greated by three complete floating heads with full face-ups, wigs, and eyes... And they were staring at me! I'll admit I was startled and I almost screamed. :B

    8. Lintila - I'll cross my fingers and keep you in my prayers that something good job-wise happens for you! It'd be a big shame to feel lousy about any of your dolls being around just because of something you couldn't control. I know mine have been such a bright spot in my life this last month or so! *hugs*

I'm sure Mr. Thess just thinks he is so punny - punny indeed. >.<

The pie does look good - my best friend was over and, when she saw it over my shoulder, asked if it was real. I figured it was so shiny because it was fake, and also showed her where it says what the amazing Thess made it of, but in her defense we had just gotten back from an hour of sitting and nursing Starbuck's drinks and my local store sells these and they look just about MSD-sized ... and so nummy! XD

Also, my gamer-mind has now wondered if anybody's done a "Portal"-type doll setup, because the pie may be cute ('real' or 'fake') but "the cake is a lie". And would make for a really cool photo shoot!

april - Have fun at the convention! Enjoy yourself around all that nice, enticing resin!

Cymorill - I'm still trying to straighten up my room; I think I'll have to bite the bullet soon and figure out what furniture pieces to move/ replace in order to improve my storage options. *sigh* BUT at least I can see more of my floor now than I could before! *I'll take every small victory, even if it's Puki-sized!*

    9. Hi all, I haven't been on in a bit as I am on a vacation trip in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Piper, Rielle, and Pari enjoyed the road trip and have been hanging out on the mantle in our room. I found the perfect sized plastic toy animals for them (picture to follow when I have a better connection) Rielle is playing with her two new toy horses, Pari is talking with her toy dragon and Piper is waiting to get some paper to use her coloured pencils. I also found a beautiful skein of lace weight silk yarn which will become something dolly...not sure what. One of them is going to get to come for a train ride into the mountains today :)

    10. Vacation?....What's that? I thought they discontinued those!

Finally! The order status on Cyrra's hands and feet has changed from "Item Proccessing" to "Before Shipping" at Little Monica. It was supposed to be 3-4 weeks, but it's been a month. I know, I know, it's nothing like the wait times for a full doll, but these small parts have been really holding up the parade! 'Bout time.... :)

    11. last payment on my girl paid. now i wait on shipping.

Kolombe- vacation yeah! cool that the kids could go too. and they didn't even get those shirts that say "My Mom went to ____ and all i got was this shirt".

April- have fun at the convention!

and everyone else gearing up to go, have fun!

    12. Attention SD70 owners! I have a special request! Does anybody here have a Spiritdoll Proud v2 boy body they can compare with a Luts SSDF? I started a thread in the photorequest forum, but I'd thought I'd ask here since we all have so many between us. :) What I want to know is if clothes made using a SSDF as a model will fit a Proud, will they bee too tight/baggy etc. Thoughts? Links? Youtube, dhawtx?

    13. Waiting to go on vacation, waiting for a doll to arrive...that's all I've done today! Leaving tomorrow morning finally! At the crack of dawn. Yay airports! I hope to see some of you there! :D

thessalyrose ~ piiiiiiiiiiie.....looks so yummy :drool

    14. Arkady

      That. dress. is. amazing.

just amazing - I love it

      do you sell your creations?

    15. Comparison heaven is always a good place to start...and you can even help by adding your own dolls that might be missing from the lineup! Unfortunately the only Spritdoll Proud body they have is Female. Oy!

      http://kihaku.fi/heaven/Comparison.php

      Then there's this thread:

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?377020-Dressing-Spiritdoll-Boys!

That's all I got for tonight!

    16. Well I got the last of the OT Chamber of Dreams critters that I wanted...the fox! Someone in Canada got buyers' remorse and put her up on ebay and I snatched her within seconds of the posting.

    17. Waiting times... I think there's always something lost in translation 'cause the waiting times are never going to be whatever it says! A few come sooner... most come later... *_*

BJDC-- agh... I fear it! I already just saw a doll on ebay that tempted me. Last little con I went to, I bought a doll (like I needed another one!!!). Yikes!!! I have to pack tonight. Just spent time at Michael's and then with a hot glue gun to make a sea-shell chair for my Catfish-girl... (con theme is "Enchanted Seas"... gotta get a pirate costume together for myself... and figure out how to haul an Iplehouse EID...! :o

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! I'll probably buy enough for all of you.. *_*

    18. Thanks for the links, dhawktx! Neither doll was listed on the comparison :( , but I bookmarked it for future reference. :)

For a brief moment, it seemed like a good idea: An image flashed through my wandering mind of an open Victorian carriage/buggy four-seater for my SD70s that can be pulled like a wagon to transport them, or even better harnessed to my team of two Welsh Corgis. What awesome a photoshoot would that be?

    19. Why do I see that ending with a pair of dogs gleefully running down a sidewalk, their human crying out for them to stop, while dolls flop every which way as if they're getting sick to their nonexistent resin stomachs on a cheap sea voyage? *poor dollies ... poor human*

    20. This can only end in tears.
