1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Does your doll has a room?

Jun 9, 2014

    1. I have been hearing about people getting one or two dolls and either making a room to scale, either it be an actual room the made and put in a dresser or in the corner of the room, or even an armor top for them. I was wondering how common this is, if you have done it, and if you can supply pictures and ideas!

I know I am really keen on just getting one or two dolls and spoiling them with the idea of giving them their own room, and I know about how I would like to do it but before I do I was also wondering, for those who, if you have resources for things to put in the rooms. Beds, pictures, dressers, posters, props and things like that, if you guys think you have any ideas or resources.

Sorry if this is an odd place to post and ask but it wasn't really a new kid topic to ask.

    2. No, my dolls don't have a room to scale.
Actually it's probably more accurate to say that they've taken over my room.

    3. That sounds like a really cute idea! Mine have some benches, but those are just sitting on my own furniture.

    4. Good answer! I'm half expecting that to happen.

    5. I have seen people create magical looking rooms and houses, I am so envious! I just don't have the room to accommodate my larger dolls. =/
I was shopping at IKEA the other day and I saw a girl with her doll taking measurements to see if the shelving unit she was looking at would work as a doll house.

    6. I heard Ikea is good place to start looking for beds and things, and if you want a dresser I was told jewelry boxes. All in all, it's really hard to see dolls outside of meet ups, conventions, and things like that, cool stuff.

    7. Mine just hangs out on my bookshelf in her little chair for now, but I've seen some awesome dioramas on youtube (just searching "BJD diorama"). I also get dolly furniture and stuff from thrift stores :)

    8. One fine day, hopefully. One fine day .,.
It's my dream to build Maverick's apartment in 1/3 scale at one point, or at least the living room, where he hangs around the most. But I don't have enough space for this currently, so it's only dreaming. It's still fun to hunt around for props already though.

    9. No.

If I had enough place and found I would have condidered it though.

    10. Part of me hoping that when I move into a condo or home with a master bedroom, that I'll have one of those nice walk-in closets with shelves inside and that can be their room, shared with my clothing (they'd get most of it though), lol. Until then, thanks to living in a small space and having cats, the dolls must stay in their boxes, at least until we get a display cabinet.

    11. I used to have rooms for my dolls, but it got to be too much. My collection grew too large for me to have rooms for everyone. I do have setups with couches and props, but nothing too extravagant :sweat

    12. I live in a fairly small townhouse, so I don't have space to set up rooms for my crew... They have display cabinets of their own, instead.

    13. When we redo the kitchen, I'm planning on repurposing the old cabinets into a set of rooms for my MSD.

    14. I have a large collection, and they've taken over the spare bedroom. They don't all have their own bedrooms, but a few do. My husband put deep shelving on the wall just for this purpose. The bedrooms consist of a bed and piece of furniture to keep their clothes and accessories in. Justin has a basketball and will be getting shelves to display his sneaker collection. Parker has a fairly large collection of One Direction items. Hailey has a jewelry box and some dolls and stuffed animals and her walls are covered in posters of actors and teen idols. Loki has video game and dragon stuff. Amir has a bookcase with mini books, and lots of Egyptian art. Kier has an Irish theme, and lots of toys and a guitar. Dhani has a nautical theme with an anchor and ship's wheel on the wall. Ben.....has a typical teen boy's room with clothes and food and junk all over the place. The rest don't have rooms, but they have a bar area and teen hangout area to chill in. The bar actually has mini booze bottles and beer bottles, cups, snacks and table. Oh, and Pharaoh Ay has a "palace", but it's really just a chair and couple of accessories on top of a marble table in my sewing room. :P

    15. Ideally I'd love to be able to have a dolly room or at least make part of a room my "green room" so to speak. My dolls stay with me in my room and I am trying to work on clearing a place for them.

    16. All of my dolls share one makeshift bed in a Armour above my tv. Soon I'm sure they own the bottom shelf too. They are barely fitting as it is and I have two SDs on the way. I am collecting doll sized furniture for them right now. They have chairs, toy boxes, and a dresser. But I need more beds.

    17. I dont have a room for my dolls due to space problems but sometimes when I take pictures, I make kind of half of the room, so it would look like a room on the picture.
I dont need an extra room for my dolls, they are perfectly fine in my room =)

    18. I don't have a room so Nadeko doesn't either, she lives in my closet where I sometimes have a makeshift bed/futon set up for her

    19. Mines share one tiny room. Males, females, child.... Nobody complains so far... :)

    20. Heh, I wish I had the space to create a room for my girl. But, sadly, no. My girl and guy won't have rooms.
