Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. Just figured that since Christmas is coming up quickly (and it's practically a blizzard where I live) we should have a Christmas-themed thread! If this doesn't fit, feel free to move or delete!
      Do you have any Christmas plans for your dolls? Are you traveling with them? Are you buying/making them new clothes with a Christmas theme? Have you decorated them differently for Christmas? Do you plan on buying them any holiday-themed props? Christmas costumes? Feel free to include pictures!

    2. I love Christmas so much, I'll probably be really sappy and make my dolls some holiday outfits, take some Christmas-y photos and even bring them along for trips and such. :)

    3. I love Christmas, and went all out last year, making props and setting up lots of holiday scenes and taking photos of everything, so need to come up with some new ideas for this year. Of course there have been several new additions to my doll family since last Christmas, so including them will already be new. However, I'm super busy with another project right now, and I have to wait until it's done before I can start focusing on holiday stuff for my dolls.

    6. Yes! I have so many plans for my doll. :) But the most important are,making new outfit for everyone (as Christmas present), decorating room and taking doll's group photos. I haven't taken any group photos for them before, so this year I will do it definitely!

    9. I would like to do Christmas themed photoshoots with several dolls. I haven't taken them out for pictures in a long time because it's been so cloudy here and when it's not it's dark by the time I get done with work. I bought hand warmers and a scarf for BJ for a shoot, and I think Darius might look great with a background of Christmas lights. I also want to do a shoot with Beelz but I'm still waiting on his eyes from Soom. Can't wait to hear what others are doing! :)

    10. I always make a Christmas wishlist to make shopping for me easy for my family, haha, and this year I plan to stock up my list with lots of sewing-related books! I don't ever plan to sew for people-size, so to me they're doll-related gifts XD . There are so many I want. I have at least four books on Asian embroidery in my list, plus general sewing books on pattern-making, a fabrics encyclopedia I'm dying for, general sewing info, and couture hand-sewing. I may also add a mini iron and maaaybe that doll pressing tool on etsy that caught my eye. Oh, and I saw small-scale swords for use as letter-openers that seem like they could be 1/4 size, so that'll be on my list too! Even if they aren't, it's still a cool item and I've been thinking I need a letter opener for a while now!

      I have a little 'dollhouse' of sorts for my 1/4 dolls, made by flipping my bookcase on its side and taking out all but one 'shelf', so it's two big doll rooms now. I already have a mini Christmas tree in there, and now I want to decorate the rest for Christmas. If I get it looking nice, I hope I remember to take some good pictures too.

      I'm a total sewing newbie, hence the need for more books, but for now I'm avidly self-teaching with great sewing books from the library. Such a great discovery! I don't know if I'll make it, but it would be nice if I could finish reading at least this great first book and apply it to making a little something or two for my dolls as well. Not sure what yet though!

    11. I'm hoping to make something "Christmassy" for several of my dolls to wear... I won't be getting something done for everyone, especially the boys (since they need more made than just the dresses I can do for the girls), but it'll give me at least a start on getting a full Christmas wardrobe for everyone to pick and choose from in future years! (I did even finish the first dress yesterday, and get a nice set of photos of one of my girls wearing it.)

    13. I'd love to do a Christmas family shoot with all my dolls, as I haven't taken a family pic since last summer when I only had 6... I've got 15 now with two more on the way (not that they'll be here this year).

      I would also really love to do some Christmas themed photoshoots with some of them as well, and decorate their display area so it's all festive :D

      I have to admit, looking at holiday themed doll pictures is a guilty pleasure of mine and I hope lots of people will take Christmas pictures this year :D

    14. I have Christmas dresses for two of my dolls, but would like to have holiday clothes for more of them. I also have a doll waiting to be opened until Christmas. I know it isn't very wise to wait to open a box, but I have faith in American BJD dealers. And Christmas tree pictures!

    16. Happily I've just paid off my layaway on my Grail re-shell of my longtime gaming partner, Sugar. She's a, Luts Kid Delf Darae and is due in any moment now. My plan for her wardrobe is a fun collection of "sock couture".:lol: (This was beautifully showcased as a competition in one of DOA's past Anniversary events and I was quite inspired by it.) So yeah, the hunt is now on for cute Christmas socks this holiday season to make her a special "welcome home for the holidays" outfit.

    18. Nothing planned but I'll probably spoil Franny rotten. My newest doll and my first big girl - so she needs clothes, right? Many, many new clothes. And new hairstyles. And shoes. And that's why I'll probably go on a shopping spree in the near future. :D

    19. I'd like the girls at least to have holiday outfits.

      But it isn't going to happen because in order to have done that, I'd have needed to plan-ahead and start sewing around August (if not sooner) as it would take far more time than I have available between now and Christmas to make 23 Christmas outfits ranging in size from Lusion down to Littlefee.

    20. I've bought a couple of pieces of clothing for my crew and I've entered into a lottery for a new DD to add to the crew, which would be a wonderful gift for me to give myself. I don't generally do much for the holidays, though ;)
