1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Stands

Nov 29, 2021

    1. Greetings!
Does anyone out there know where one can buy doll stands and furniture for 1:4 BDJ dolls?
I have been looking and the prices are really high.

    2. Yeah. A lot of the things marked specifically for ball-jointed dolls are small batch handcrafts, but there are some playline dolls that are pretty close in size to MSD's and that furniture is usually much more economical. Furniture & some other accessories for American girl dolls, My Generation dolls and the large-sized Monster high and Everafter dolls can sometimes work for 1/4 scale BJDs. Hope this helps with the search!

    3. Have you tried looking in taobao? I know most stands/furniture there tend to be more inexpensive than searching through Etsy. I recently bought a stand for a 1/3(70cm) doll for around ~$15 via bjd bhiner. I've seen most props doesn't go for more than $50 either.

    4. Thank you so much! I have never tried looking for those dolls' furniture and accessories. I will now. The handcrafted stuff is gorgeous and though I'd like to have some of it, I can't imagine spending $150 on a chair!

Okay, now we're talking! I haven't heard of Taobao, but I will check it out. Thank you so much for the tip!

    5. Try checking bjd bhiner first, they are a proxy! For Taobao you will need a proxy or someone who can help you in case you want to buy something as it's a marketplace only for chinese people (as they require a valid chinese telephone number+address in order to register). Aliexpress it's another option but please be cautious and make sure to check out the store/seller first in case they sell recasts and avoid them.

    6. Hey! I'm not sure where you're located but Im in the US and I get all my doll stands at hobby lobby. They're very cheap and they have ones that fit yo-sds to SDs.

Unfortunately I'm not so sure about furniture. I've been somewhat lucky and found some small furniture at craft and hobby stores.

    7. I took a quick peek at Ebay and I said the wrong name for one thing earlier, It's Our Generation not My Generation for the brand name.

    8. Okay, got it. Thank you for following up! I really appreciate you taking the time to do that.

Yes, I noticed that bjd bhiner was easier to use and understand, so I browsed their site. And recasts are always a problem, as I have learned. Places like eBay and Etsy do having listings for dolls that are recast. I totally support the artists who create these dolls. I will be cautious on Aliexpress. Thank you so much for the follow-up and advice. It's well taken.
