1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollies in Disney?

Jan 1, 2014

    1. So, as anyone ever taking there doll to disney world/land? My mother is planning a family trip next dec. for xmas. And I wanted to take one of my dolls. Anyone know if you can take them in, if there is extra costs??? and such?

any pictures to if you've got some!!!

      Thanks.

    2. You know, it's really interesting that you posted this topic today, because I got married today and we're currently on our way to Disney for our honeymoon. I thought about bringing a tiny but decided against it, since I don't want to spend a lot of time and energy worrying about a doll. Maybe if we go another time I'd consider it. It'd make for awesome pictures!

    3. I used to have a Lati White who I brought to Disney World with me. She was only about 5 inches tall, so I can't say anyone cared. Most people didn't even notice. I wouldn't take a big doll though. I'd be too worried about it getting slammed around with me on rides.
I've gone to Disney World (never land) over 25 times and I've never heard of anyone ever having to pay extra to bring something into the park. They will do a bag check though. They also have lockers at the front of the parks where you can rent for a few dollars a day and stick a doll in there if you want.

      CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING MARRIED!!!! :-D

    4. I took Zahra to Disney! I had fun with her!

    5. Awww congrats Razzy !!!! <3333

And its good to see other people have gotten to take dolls in. I was thinking of taking one of my SD girls. There is a snow white outfit I'm working on buying for her if we go!! I LOVE LOVE LOOOOVEE snow white! And we where planning on doing one of the dinners where she shows up <3.

ANd i forgot about the lockers! I'm not sure if we'd be doing much riding but a few might be super fun! We would be going to Epcot. so thats a little more "Adult" then disney its self.

    6. If you're going to the same park for several days do the first one without a doll so you can get an idea of the place and where to take pictures. If not take a doll who travels easily. It can get very crowded with people who will be jerks and don't care about your doll and your pictures because they have to take theirs. I've done Disney trips twice with off topic dolls that could go in a purse or backpack with little worry of messing up their faces or outfits.

A backpack, refillable water bottle, snacks, cameras, sun hat, light jacket, and anything else you will need for being on your feet and on the go all day are the first things you'll need. The first thing to do is get your Star Tours Fast Pass then go do other rides and things to wait out the time. You're going to want to ride some of the rides, you'll want to stand in line to see characters. Most rides the doll can ride on your lap, some like Star Tours require your stuff to be stowed under the seat so it's up to you if you want to go in. Pirates and the Haunted Mansion lines constantly move and are too dark inside for doll pictures, no flash photography is allowed and it does ruin the dark rides.

All that being said it can be done, it can be fun, and watch for costumed characters who might want to hold the doll. Some of my best pics of Wee Little Doctor are Chip and Dale playing with him.

    7. Kim, oh this is super helpful! Thank you! I've traveled a lot with my dolls, there next quest is going to be Europe this summer most likely.
