1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore-Food dishes

Dec 27, 2006

    1. Dollmore has just released a large line of doll accessries, food :)

Just an update on Dollmore stock :) These are just a few of their dishes and platers; new clothes and etc have also been added.

    2. they say 3cm (1.18") so they are pretty small. they might work for tinies

    3. 3 cm might be practical for the dim sum dishes, because they are sometimes (always?) served in small dishes (the size of someone's palm, roughly). But I would expect a plated meal to be much larger, even for MSD size.

I think this size would be more appropriate for 1/8 size dolls, such as Barbie and Blythe dolls. And even then, I am not sure they will be able to sell them unless they change their tactics. Perhaps they would do better to sell them in a group of four?

    4. Dollmore sells mini to SD size dolls so I can't say what they are meant for, but since they don't say what doll their meant for or a good size I think they are good for all sizes.

Besides look at it like this, many human size plates can rest calmly in your palm. So I'm sure they are good for a SD doll.

    5. They also carry stuff for 1/6 dolls like blythes and pullips and the mini food things like re-ment's are usually in scale to these dolls.

    6. Dim sum *plates* are that small, yes, but the bamboo steamers included in the food? Never seen one smaller than my hand, much less my palm.

And then there's the scale of things... I just think it's weird to have dishes that small when i can clearly recognise it as eggs and curry... even if I pretend it's quail's eggs and chopped up veggie it looks ....odd ... and we won't mention how visually unreal it will be for my boys to pretend to be eating cuttlefish *that* tiny... O.o

*sigh... going to wait for something bigger-scaled (currently my boys only eat fruits, veggies and some really plasticky fake sushi. This makes me sad somehow, like I should be feeding them, idunno, MEAT or something... )
