1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dolls that are easy to find clothes for?

Feb 17, 2026 at 2:41 PM

    1. Hiya, I'm wondering which dolls are "standard" MSD size and will usually fit the clothes available on Alice's Collections, Legenddoll, etc. I've fallen in love with two dolls that are unusual sizes and it makes buying clothes and shoes difficult! I'd like to not make that mistake again. I enjoy making clothes too but sometimes I'd like to take advantage of other's crafty skills and purchase an item or two.

    2. With the qualification that I only know about female bodies:
      Exact-to-good fits:
      Dreaming Doll Little Elva
      Little Monica Little Harmony
Doll Leaves Myth and Dream bodies
      MYOU 1/4 scale bodies
Dream Valley B4-19 - upper body is on the slimmer side
Soul Doll New Kids body: thighs are a bit thick - you'll want stretchy stuff
Doll Chateau kids body - right width, but extra long legs (works well with shorts/skirts)
Huajing new 1/4 scale bodies: Longer legs and wider hips mean you'll want stretchy clothes

Resinsoul - Mei (older 42 cm) body flirts between MSD and minifee (she tiny)
The newer 1/4 scale bodies are more traditional 1/4 scale clothing, but their legs run a little slim.

Pleasant (off-topic) surprise: Robert Tonner dolls fit MSD clothes pretty well

    3. "Standard MSD" refers to the original Volks MSD bodies.
      • Total Height: 42–43 cm
      • Head: 19.5 cm (fits 7–8" wigs)
      • Neck: 8.5 cm
      • Shoulder Width: 8.5 cm
      • Chest: 18–18.5 cm
      • Waist: 15.3–15.5 cm
      • Hips: 18.5–19 cm
      • Arm Length (shoulder to wrist): 12.5 cm
      • Leg Length (inseam): 17–19 cm
      • Foot: 5.5 cm long, 2.5 cm wide
So any doll with similar measurements would fit those outfits. What measurements do your dolls have? Do they have a thread here on DoA? Sometimes it's easier to go there and ask for outfit recommendations.

    4. Alice's and Legenddoll carry clothes from various makers so the measurements vary. With newer clothes, you'll have the best luck with bodies that are popular with chinese hobbyists at the moment because a lot will be made for them right now (DF-H larger 1/4 girl body was super popular recently, a lot of dollmakers have followed suit with similar options). Taobao listings usually specify the bodies/measurements and Legenddoll seems to be quite good at adding those notes, but it's always worth asking if you're not sure.

The older listings on ACBJD (the lolita dresses etc in the last pages) are a better fit for Volks MSD/SDM and similar, although some seem to be also modeled on older, slightly slimmer, minis that would more or less correspond to Angel of Dream 1/4 or Myou ver 1 body from what's still available. Those would have been the popular types of dolls back when those designs first entered production.

All in all, it's worth asking and comparing measurements if not sure, and also looking at what kind of dolls are modelling the products.

    5. I'm not sure what Bluefairy has been making recently, but their old bodies are pretty close in size to MSD/SDM

    6. Minifee is a pretty standard size for slim MSD, a lot of e.g. etsy sellers make clothes for them.
