Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. Dolls that are Hard to Find Pics of - older/rare dolls

    1. Okay, so I have been looking at a lot of older threads here on DoA, and came across one wondering where all the older dolls have gone to. It got me to thinking about some dolls that are hard to find pictures for.

      For instance:

      I own a Customhouse Ruru. I have only ever been able to find 1 other pic for her other than my own and the company's.

      (For those who don't know who I mean, here is a small pic)

      Another one that I find hard to find pics of, is Leeke D Tiny dolls. I have been able to find a few, but not many.

      Are there any dolls that you own that you have had trouble finding other pictures for?
      Do you have any pictures of these 2 dolls?
      Where do you go to find pictures of dolls other than Flickr?

    3. I have several dolls that I've had a really hard time finding others who own them. Mainly ALL of my Jie Dolls, AE Adzuki Bean, and all of my minimees. I mostly just gave up trying to find them.

    4. I got an Angell-Studio Snow (YoSD Size-ish) from the market place...the only one that seems to have been in the market place, if my stalker-ish-esque research is correct. I have seen only a few photos of the sculpt after really searching hard. Seems to be unpopular rather than rare.

    5. I have a Dollmore Lillis Liv and I find those are harder to find. I have also not seen many Loongsoul doll Ling Jings, which I also own. Mine is also female. ( its a make sculpt)

    6. Since Unidoll folded, very few of them are seen around any more, especially the girl sculpts.

    8. Well, I've got a few hard to find dolls, but I rarely take pictures anymore. Maybe that's the case with others too.

      There are a few dolls I'd still like to own, but I haven't seen them in years. Kanon Louis is one of them, as is MSDoll Laurie. I'd really love to see some pictures of them (but *cough* preferably in the MP ;)).

    9. I think most of my crew can be considered "older" since I've been in the hobby a long time and haven't bought a new doll in a couple years - though I wonder if they would be insulted if they heard me referring to them as "old" :) Good luck finding pics of the ones you're looking for!

    10. I have a doll or well two that are very hard to find pics of. My Illusion Spirit Beata is very unpopular and therefore counts as a sort of rare in that it's rare people want to buy him apparently. And my other doll, Doll In Mind Lyell, I was fairly sure he was somewhat popular, but I've so far only found one other person on here who owns him. Both of them seem hard to find pictures of, as in almost impossible so far for me. It saddens me, I love both sculpts immensely, so much so that I would gladly own a second of both of them even though the only dolls I do own two of are because they are anthro dolls based on my real life dogs. It's a shame to find so few pics of them both in my opinion. :(

    11. I don't know if he counts, but my first doll was from 2007, a Limited Edition Larme from Dollmore. I have only found, I believe, one other owner of this mold, much to my dismay! I had so hoped to see lots of pictures of what other people did with their Larme.

      I hope you're able to find the pictures you are after!

    13. I think alot of Asleep Eidolon SDs are super pretty but it's so hard to find pics of them I sometimes end up on confusing chinese blogs trying to look for pics of them!

    14. I find many of the older Kdoll/ Msdoll sculpts are harder to find. Including the older souldoll sculpts- I recently bought a souldoll celestyn and I can barely find pics of him/her! It really is a shame.

      Usually I go on Deviantart or google for more pics or tumblr even. Good luck finding your pictures!

    15. Since I've started looking at them, I've had a very hard time finding owner pictures of WithDoll boys (I feel like I've seen the girls more). The few pictures I found with a google search turned out to be the same ones that were posted on this forum. Not older, by any means, but they've definitely been on the "hard to find" list for me.

    17. I know the frustration of not being able to find owner pictures and end up glad you're able to find some from one owner. I rarely take pictures of my dolls these days, so even while I have rare dolls like Limhwa To-L (only 16 made), Dollmore Noal (so far I've seen only one other owner posting pictures), Limhwa Eva (again only managed to find one other owner posting pictures last time I searched) and UniDoll UH-14 (I don't think the limited edition of 200 actually sold out before UD disappeared), I'm not really helping other peole out. I do have some pictures of these dolls posted online, but not that many. :sweat

    18. A lot of Soom's dolls are actually surprisingly hard to find photos of, considering how popular the company is! Specifically, I've gone searching for and found hardly any photos of:

      Soom Bix
      Soom Topaz in bronze (I only know of one other person who ordered her in that skin tone)
      Soom Cass
      Soom Galena in grey skin
      Soom Coquina
      Soom Amphibel (almost impossible to find photos of)
      Soom Clozel

      Of course, I own four of these dolls (and have the other two incoming), so I could technically help make it easier to find photos of these dolls simply by posting some myself :sweat

    19. ^ That. If I don't find enough photos of a particular doll and I own that sculpt, I try to post more photos. I should take more photos of my Cass once I finish her clothes.

      ... I don't think I've ever seen an owner photo of Bix. I'm going to end up liking him and he'll end up on my wishlist, won't he? :XD:

    20. I've only seen a few Dollzone Saka's out there. I've seen owner pics from my Saka's previous owner and only one or 2 others... I look for pics here, on google, and on flickr. Although, I haven't really posted pics of him myself, so I haven't been helping :sweat I gotta work on that.


      Oh, there's also Leekeworld Clover, I can't find any owner pics of her ;_; I didn't buy her when she was available, and now I can't even find owner pics to enjoy.
