* What did you order?
65cm Ausley Love in Fresh skin
* When did you order?
I ordered on May 20th, and the doll shipped on June 15th, arriving a few days later.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
I originally spent $730 on my Ausley, which I was more than willing to pay. However, because the sculpt went on sale soon after, she ended up being only $510. For that price, the quality is incredible. She poses very well, and came not only with the basic parts I wanted, but with extra hands, bust parts and a sleeping head.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
She seems a little different, probably mostly because she came blank, and I haven't been able to customize her. Also, her head looks oddly small on her body, which I don't really see in the sale pics.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes! I love her a lot already and I'm sure that as I have more time with her, I'll only love her more.
* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
Her head is oddly small, more like an MSD sized head, which looks a little weird on her huge body, but I think that a wig and some clothes might help fix that problem. Beyond that, she poses well, and stands nicely.
* Would you buy more from this company?
If I ever have money again in my life after outfitting her and the rest of my resin crew, I would love to buy more from Dollshe!

I ordered on July 18th. The doll arrived at the beginning of April.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Absolutely !
The doll was discounted (50% sale) so I'm very happy with it, especially for the price !
The quality is amazing and the doll poses great.
It is a lot heavier than my other doll (mainly tinies) so it's a bit harder to handle, but I love it ^^
* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
There were not many pictures, but yes

Yes, absolutely ! I love this doll.

Positives: The sculpting is beautiful, the doll poses great and I love it :3
Negatives: The doll has a strong resin smell, even after a few weeks. It's not very negative as it doesn't bother me though.

I will...And I have ! I'm currently waiting for an Aramis in Copper Oriental on a Pure body ♥

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very much so. I got this guy during a discount, so I would say the quality EXCEEDS what I paid.

* Were you satisfied with the product? Beyond satisfied.

He is very beautifully sculpted, well engineered. The joints joining his legs to his pelvis could be better, they could use some sueding probably, but the rest of his joints are fantastic.
* Would you buy more from this company? Goodness, yes. If I can get the money, I am buying a Mystic Body in Fresh Skin for my Husky.

* What did you order? Grant Phillippe Classic on L1 body in Pure Copper Oriental.
* When did you order? October 2016
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Oh yes! The resin quality is beautiful - he's lovely to paint and feels very comfortable in my hands. He came with two heads OE and SA, plus an additional pair of feet for sandals, and three additional pairs of hands. On top of that, he also came with hand changing paddles, extra elastic, and spare silicon nibs for the inside of his joints. Well worth the money I'd say.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, he looked perfect.
* Were you satisfied with the product? Very much so.
* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional). I love how solid he feels when holding him. he has a very comforting weight and is very well balanced and stable. He holds poses really well, though I do feel his large male appendage makes sitting in certain pairs of pants needlessly frustrating. Otherwise I absolutely adore him!
* Would you buy more from this company? Yes, gladly!

For the first two: I got my Dollshe Ausley Love (Old body) through the DoA market but I still wish to review the doll and so the company.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Definitely! She is a work of art and I feel like I'm paying not too much or too less. Though she's not cheap, she's worth every bit!
* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes! Of course there are naked pictures so it's not to difficult to get a good idea. The sales pictures themselves are quite lovely.
* Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. She's well proportionate so she feels very natural. Her resin (Oriental skin) is soft to the touch but still gives a sturdy impression.
* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
What makes her absolutely beautiful is the natural and realistic body and proportions she has. Dollshe clearly took great consideration when designing this body/sculpt. Her posing is natural and quite sturdy.
The only negative thing, for me that is, is she doesn't stand sturdy on her own. But I just need to get a stand/ tighten her stringing.
* Would you buy more from this company? Whenever I can save up for them. Since they are so expensive, it's not easy for me to buy more from them but if I had the means, without a doubt!

The quality exceeds the price. I got her during a sale, but even at her normal price this would've been true.

Yes, very much so, if not better.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
I'm extremely happy with my Amanda. She is beautifully made.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
She is superbly detailed and her sculpt lends itself so easily to being made to look like a real person. While there are lots of sculpts with parted lips out there, Amanda's removable teeth part is really unique. Having her mouth and teeth be actual separated components makes both easier to paint and creates a more realistic effect. Her hands are very elegant and delicate. The availability of the petite bust option is really nice for if you don't want a doll with ridiculously oversized breasts. She poses really well and is just beautiful overall.

* Would you buy more from this company?
Definitely!!!

 

This will be my very first review on a bjd doll. I chose Dollshe because somehow I am in love with their dolls even before I own any bjd. So it only make sense that one of my very first dolls were Dollshe.
I was extremely curious of their silicone jointing system. I was also very curious why not as many people own Dollshe bjd. so my review will be about jointing system, resin feel and overall quality of doll.
Jointing system:
I love that all the joints come with silicone assembled. It made posing so much easier. I don't need to wire or suede the doll. It is ready to play. The silicone in all joints make bjd look professional and clean without glue, wire or silicone kips. I can do various poses without any hassle. There are silicone in neck, shoulders, elbows, hip/thigh, and knee. Also, the head, high heel legs and neck part has aluminum to rest the 's' hooks, so the hook won't scratch the doll. How thoughtful is that!
Resin:
I don't own many bjd, but I think when you see quality you just know it. The resin has good weight, smooth and no chemical smell. It has nice color tone. The color is even head to toe. The details on the doll body was extremely good quality.
Overall quality:
I am no doubt has fallen in love with Dollshe before and after I own their dolls. Amanda stands right out of the box. I'm hoping to have at least one of each doll type from them. The quality is excellent comparing to their price. It is a very affordable high quality dolls. The only thing that bother me is that they only carry Caucasian dolls. I would love to see some Asian dolls since I am Asian myself. Otherwise, Mr Dollshe is very thoughtful and thorough in making all his high quality dolls. I have no regrets in owning their dolls and plan to have more of their lines.

The postitives for me are all the options. I can change her feet from flat to heel. Here bust size can change easily and her lovely hand poses can be changed easily also. So much fun! This is the best doll I have ever owned! Every time I pick her up, I feel excited to play and imagine!
* Would you buy more from this company?
Definitely! I have Dollshe David Kunnci also and he is spectacular also! David fits in extremely well with Amanda and all my other 16" fashion dolls. I am thinking of ordering the Vampire or Saint next.

Very much so! She's a good weight and her resin color is simply beautiful, even in the oriental.

Highly satisfied. She's everything i expected and a good bit more.

The only real negative is that she does come with seam lines, but i don't personally feel it's a negative as it doesn't bother me when a doll has them. She's a magnificent poser though, and looks very natural in just about every pose i put her in.
* Would you buy more from this company?
For sure! I already have a story brewing for my current girl that will result in the purchase of an Erica Snow to be her sister.

I haven't done her faceup yet, but just recently finished her wig. :B

Yes.Actually i ordered Amanda beauty(fashion size)head from them today.However i had a small problem with dollshe with my erica snow order.while i ordered her,i chose `glamour`bust size but when i received her,i realized she has small bust.i told Dollshe about problem,they were helpful.they said they will send me parts right away.They also provided me some points as an apology.

Pure body in oriental to go with a previously purchased (early 2015) Orijean head in oriental

* When did you order?
March 30, 2017 during the 150 parts sale. I paid in full and received the body Aug. 8, 2017

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Seeing as how part of the sale included almost 50% off the regular price, I got an absolutely fantastic deal and I'm happy with my purchase.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Exactly

* Were you satisfied with the product?
The body stood easily straight out of the box and didn't require the strength of a god to pull the S-hook up into place to attach the head, which was nice. The body was well packaged in foam cut outs and the outer shipping box was very sturdy.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product (optional)
Positives: great attention to detail in the sculpt and very natural looking. The body poses easily and stands quite solidly. There are some seam lines but they are minor in nature and certainly don't bother me. The body has a nice heft to it without feeling like a bag a cement.
Negatives: Not about the product but the company. It was stated for this sale that since the moulds were already made, the shipping time would be 1-2 months. It took 4 months for my order to ship. I know that Dollshe generally takes a crazy long time to ship items but part of that seems to be because of continued tinkering with a sculpt before it even gets to the mould making step. In this sale, the moulds were waiting to be used due to previous customers cancelling their orders because of delays. Additionally, I'd filled out one address for billing (my home) and one for shipping (my work) since nobody is home during the day to receive packages. Dollshe shipped to my house. I still got my package easily (mostly because the postal people know me and let me pick up my package without the delivery card) but it should've been sent to my work address as I'd filled out.

* Would you buy more from this company?
Yes, if one of the sculpts caught my fancy. I'd have to think hard though about buying direct from Dollshe due to the typically hideous wait times. It would need to be a great sale or a sculpt I want in one of the more unusual resin colours like dark grey or green or blue, etc. to put up with the crazy wait times.

* Were you satisfied with the product? This body is beautiful and perfect, it is exactly what I was hoping for.

* Tell us some of the positives and negatives about this product:
Positives: The quality of this body is great. It lives up to the standards of the old Dollshe company. The silicone nubs have been mostly discontinued - there are nubs on top of the neck, but not anywhere else. The resin match is flawless even though the head was cast three years before the body.

Negatives: I ordered in September 2019 and received the body in September of 2022. When I requested updates I received incorrect optimistic responses. The last was "all the grey dolls have been shipped" back in February, which was simply not true. The Dollshe company will stall and make excuses and tell lies. If you check the waiting room, there are a number of people waiting in excess of 3 years (as I did) for their dolls. Since this was the only way to get a good color match for my Morfeo head, I waited.

* Would you buy more from this company? Not until they clean up their act. I have two other dolls I am waiting for, one from March of 2020 and one from Feb of 2021.

Yes. The single good thing about this doll was that he looks just like the pictures, he is very cute and i do love his nose.

• Were you satisfied with the product?

Not in the least.

Buckle up, folks.

First off, i would like to address the horrendous site function and customer service, and the way this entire order went down. I sprung for a beautiful doll from a company with an iffy-at-best reputation because i was (mis?)informed that these problems were with "a minority" of orders (though i believe the person to have meant well). During my two-year wait, i changed my legal name and the email that i had on my account. While checking this previous email with my deadname for something unrelated at the end of the two years, i saw an email from Dollshe saying that he could either ship the doll unstrung, or send him strung for an additional fee, because shipping costs had gone up. (Had he delivered on the 6-month shipping promise this would not have been the case.) I opted to ship him unstrung, and advised of my name and email change. He still responded to the previous email and used my deadname, then shipped the doll to the deadname. (Edit: after all that i forgot to mention the difficulty i had logging in just today to check the order date; the site didn't take the correct email and password until the third time i tried it after trying to reset the password, which did not work.)

So when this beautiful disaster arrived, once he was strung with the provided set of elastic, i realised how terrible he is at... not even posing, but just sitting still. He shifts and buckles no matter how i position him and there is no way to stop it unless i were to put in the additional effort to suede him somehow, which i doubt would be successful due to how thin the resin is. The eye wells are so shallow i couldn't get the eyes placed properly. I have held inexpensive dolls and some of them are a bit tough to pose, but every last one was better in every possible way than this doll. Because of the instability and thin resin, the very reason i bought him will be impossible to enact, so i plan to sell him as soon as possible.

• Would you buy more from this company?

Absolutely not. Not even if i won the lottery and could buy every doll i could ever want without a second thought. Not if i was paid to pretend that they were decent. Y'all can keep them, and i do hope you enjoy them, far, far away from me.

I'm very unhappy to have spent nearly a thousand dollars and to lose the money completely. I was really looking forward to receiving these two dolls, especially as they are the last dolls I could purchase before retiring and dealing with a reduced income. Now I have no more ability to purchase BJD dolls and no willingness to do so if I did have the money.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The sculpting on Natalie is nice, Im not sure if I would say appropriate for the price because his other doll lines, who even share the same body were being sold at a fraction of the cost, and the website always had really big sales on their dolls all the time. The price I paid was much higher than the regular non sale price since it was a "special line", and there were shortcuts made (the resin feels different from my past dollshe resin, was not strung, no silicone nubs, no different extras - I got extra bust, which was the same size default, and extra feet which were the same as the default). Tom and Monica I cant say anything about because I cancelled and got refunded for the orders.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Natalie looks very different from the prototype. She looks like the actress, but not the prototype that was shown earlier that I thought I would be getting.
Tom and Monica didnt have a prototype or production photos so I cant say anything. Tom only had a 3D rendering that was never updated.
Natalie I was told was to come with gun holding hands, a gun and high heel legs; they were not included and were not produced.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
No. I really wanted the Tom cruise doll, but that wasnt and still hasnt happened even years after I got my refund for him, yet he is still available to preorder. Monica is also still available but was never produced years after appearing on his page.
Natalie I ordered in a darker tan to turn into Cleopatra. after asking about my order after a few years, I was told he produced her, but in the wrong color, but if I would like her in "fresh" instead. Fresh is significantly cheaper than the tan I ordered, I did not get a refund on the excess payment for his mistake in casting color but I just wanted something for the wait.
When I placed my order, I was told it would take 2-4 months since they got new machinery, I knew that wasnt true since I saw the waiting threads, but was okay with a 2 year wait. It took much longer than 2 years to produce.
* Would you buy more from this company?
No. I love Dollshe's sculpting, but the way I was strung along, and the fake promises, slow or no responses, getting a refund was all a terrible experience. It made me dislike the dolls he produced so I put her back in her box when I got her, and havent played with the doll since. I asked for my refund on sept, and got it on late january. He did everything to stall the refund, only replying 3 weeks apart. I cant say Im interested in getting the doll secondhand either. Beautiful dolls, but I cant enjoy them.
