Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. Dream of Doll DoT New Girl Body and DoT Old Girl Body Reviews

    1. I hope I posted this in the correct place.

      What I would like is body reviews and comparisons of the old dot girl body compared to the new dot girl body.

      I can't seem to find any. I have tried to search youtube I even tried searching normal internet I can't seem to find one.

      I plan to get a Dream of Doll DoT Tender E-an this year so I would like some reviews so I know what to expect when I get her. I also would like a look at how the old dot girl body is.(Even though they do not sell the old anymore. I still would like to know.)

    2. If no one posts in this thread before I get my Tender E-an I will try and do my own review. (Since she will be my first doll I will not have much experience but I will try.)

    3. I would love to see this, as I'm going to be getting the Dream Head 11 from DOD with my Ducan and one day, I'll need to get her a body. >w< Congratulations on ordering a Tender E-an. She's so pretty. ^__^
      I can't find anything about the newer girl bodies vs. the old girl bodies for some reason. :/

    4. This is why I made this thread and once I get my girl I will review her body the best I can.(It will be the newer DOD, DOT body.) Like I said she will be my first so I will do the best review I can.(This is if I can get no other posts.)

      I think it be nice to at least get someone to review the old body at least so I could compare with the new body that my girl would come in once I get her.

    5. That will be great. ^__^ Since DOD got rid of the old girl bodies, I was sad that I never got a chance to own one. But the newer body doesn't bug me, like it does my roommate.

      Yeah, I have to agree. I hope someone else posts some pics. >__< If I had one, I'd do it right away. :/

    6. I ordered my DOD Thalia with the old body even though the new one was out. There was something more aesthetically pleasing about it (looking on their web site). But I would be interested to hear a comparison from someone who's held both.....

    7. I would as well like for someone that has both compare them. I will review my body the best I can once I get her but again It will be my first bjd. So I do not have anything to compare it to. You could always review your old body and put it here. Then I can review my new body and we can try and compare notes after.

    8. Okay I have had my first dolly for awhile playing with her and her joints. So yeah the new body for a newbie someone who never held or seen or touched a bjd in there life has had no problems with posing what so ever. I really don't know what else to say. If you have any questions please list them. I really not know how to leave a review of her so a list of any info will be really helpful for me to list.

      What I can say is she can slouch bend back and side to side all in working order. She can have her arms straight they are not forced bent a bit like how the promo photos make it almost seem like she does. Her knees maybe single jointed but it seems they cut it deeper so its a long single joint.(So not double jointed but still bend fairly far compared to a normal single jointed.) Every bit I move her arm and so on she keeps it there.

      Her elbows work fine no messing around to get the double jointed joints to work they just work. She can touch her face but not with the palm of her hand only the tips of her fingers. She can touch her head fine. She stands great no problems there. Her upper leg joint does not spin everywhere it also works fine. (Spins and comes out a bit.)

      Her elbows though do sometimes get turned around when you mess with her with clothes on.(As in they turn around a bit and you may not realize it until you look lol. At least I don't.) Her knees do pop into her joint when you bend then.(As in they come out and not seamlessly just bend.) But once they do that she can bend them in lots of ways.


      If there is anything I am missing and you wish to know please ask. What can I say the dream of doll DoT New Girl Body is great for a newbie and poses well with no fuss.
