Exact height measurement for SD13 girl body? SD10 Mimi head related

If I understand you correctly, you are wondering which body you should get for your pureskin SD10 Mimi head?

You prefer someting that is youthful (not to bosomy or curvy) but is a bit taller?

This is what I can tell you:

• A SD girl measures 55 cm with head. A SD13 girl measures 56.5 cm with head.

• The is very little differendce between the pureskin SD girls and SD13 girls bodies' necks. Heads are interchangable, you can put SD heads on SD13 bodies and vice versa without problem.

• The diffence between oldskin SD and SD13 bodies were significant, SD13 bodies had very slim, swan like necks. I don't think SD and SD13 heads were interchangable, at least it probably looked odd.

• Both purskin standard SD13 girls and purskin Limited Edition SD13 girls have L breasts. To find a S or M breasted purskin SD13 body you'll have to watch Yahoo! Japan for a while - they aren't common, but they do pop up from time to time - or split a FCS order with someone who just wants a head, since FCS is the only current source of SD13 bodies with bosom sizes other than L.

• That said, Volks L breast is far frome huge! Quite petite, in fact. The SD13 girls are meant to portray young girls, after all.

I think you would probably be quite pleased with the standard pureskin SD13 body for your girl. It also has the added bonus of being in pureskin just as your head is, and it is more easily avalible.

Well, I haven't got any oldskin dolls, so no joy there I'm afraid!

If I were you, I wouldn't take the 57cm measurement for oldskin SDs' to the bank. Measurements seem to get inflated... Oldskin SDs are taller than purskin SDs, but I really doubt that the difference is 3 cm! It is likelier to be a 1-1.5 cm difference.

You could order a FCS girl with a SD torso but SD13 legs. Or, as I said previously, a S busted SD13 girl.

I don't think changing the legs of an oldskin SD would be the best option, the oldskin SD leg mechanics is diffent from other legs.
But if you are determined you might get an oldskin SD body and an oldskin SD13 body and switch the legs... But then you need to get two bodies, and hope you can get your money back when you sell the oldskin SD13 body with SD legs... Not the easiest course of action, I would think.

The oldskin body seems gargantuan in comparison. =^^=;;

 

First, you CANNOT switch oldskin 10 and 13 legs around unless you're using the optional leg parts. The oldskin 13 legs have a "butt hook" for locking while the standard release sd10 legs just have GIANT ball joints.

Also, heads with the girls are completely interchangable whether their 10, 13, oldskin or pureskin. ^_^ My nono 13 has a bit of a neck gap between the head and the body, but it's not very large at all and I can't imagine any other oldskin 10 heads having any larger of a gap. The resin match is darn near perfect between the skins as well. ::points to her MSD Toppi pureskin head on an old resin MSD boy body::

Finally, if you're even considering FCS, you may wish to go with a B-02 body with longer legs. The B-02 bod is a slightly thicker waisted and waist jointed SD10 body. It's the same torso offered with the suwarriko 10 girls. It's small busted and very cute and childish. SD13 girls do look just a bit older than their 10 sisters. Mine (oldskin small bust SD13 girl) looks like she's about 16.

 

Yes, there is a distinct hight difference between the oldskin SD and the pureskin SD - but I don't think it's actually 3 cm! My guess would be 1,5 cm actual difference.

As you can tell from the pictures of Himeno and Yume above: a 1,5 cm hight difference is a rather large difference.

 

Oldskin SD13 girls had much slimmer necks than oldskin SD girls - and all pureskin girls. If you put a oldskin head or any pureskin head on an oldskin SD13 body, the head hole will be larger than the neck you stick into it. Thus there will be a gap between neck and head - but it isn't supposed to be huge in any way.

Can I be annoying and ask a question though: could you tell me the measurement around her bust??
I've been wondering just what size bust my SD13 body is and I thought that maybe it was medium or small, but looking at this picture maybe it could be large.... (I thought large would be errr bigger..)

Yes, you do expect an L bust to be on the large side, don't you? I measured it, and the circumference is 25 cm.

Sorry I didn't notice sooner, the circumference of a Volks SD/SD13 pureskin girl is 9.5 cm.

Have a look at the neck of the pureskin SD13 Cyndy in the middle of the top row and compare it with the neck of the SD13 oldskin F08 standing to the right of her....
