1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Eye Sizing?

Dec 19, 2021

    1. Hi everyone! If there is a thread for this already, can someone please point me in the right direction? I'm looking at eyes and I'm seeing sizes like 7/16 and 8/16, and I'm confused on what these numbers mean. How can I tell what size they'll be for my doll?

    2. iris size/"eyeball" size. The first one is a preference - what you like and think looks best for your dolls scale, the second number is dependent of the size of the eye-well in your dolls head - to small and they will gap, to big and the won't fit. Usually the manufacturer of the doll (or the artists in case of artist dolls) had the eye size that fit their head sculpt on their page. Other users that have similar dolls may have some insight as well - usually there are several eyeball sizes that work well enough.

    3. That makes a lot more sense. So it is two measurements rather than one? I will take a look at my doll's eye size and check the other users' posts then. Thank you for your help and advice!

    4. It’s two measurements and both are in millimeters. Some eyes just have the base size not the iris, if you only see one measurement.

    5. I noticed a lot of sellers not listing both sizes. So if you prefer a small iris you can also simply search "small iris" with the eye size you need to fit your doll's head. :)
