1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Favourite european doll companies

Jul 30, 2023

    1. What are your favourite european bjd companies or sculptors? I’ve recently discovered atelier momoni, they’re just so adorable :aheartbea

    2. Napalm Dolls! I recently acquired a Hush second hand, and the sculpting on the hands and feet is mindblowingly cool. It's somehow cartoony but also realistic in a beautiful way?? She reminds me a bit of an R. Crumb drawing, if you know who that is. And the resin has a nice weight to it. I'm keeping an eye out for any new preorders she might do for girl dolls in the future so I can support the artist (sadly I don't collect boy dolls).

    3. The only European artist I've bought from is Rosen Garden BJD; her mature sculpts are delightfully elegant. Most of who I follow is in the US, just because that's who the Instagram algorithm introduced to me. I look forward to learning about more in this thread, though!

    4. I believe Nina’s Dolls & Frappzilla are both in Europe! I’ve never owned dolls from either, but they’re so gorgeous!

    5. Little Rebel (although she just recently shut down for the most part :()

    6. I prefer the French Youpla Dolls and from Spain Anhais Studio.:D :love
Best quality and wonderful posing. :thumbup

    7. The belgian Otherside dolls! And not because it's a friend, I really love how distinctive her creations are. I also like Napalm Dolls' way of sculpting, and I'm waiting for a Puppy from her :)

    8. Obviously Little Rebel, since my family is mainly composed of them. I think they have the perfect balance between a realistic face and an anime one and it's the point I feel comfortable with =)

    9. Rosen Garden BJD! I just love that elegant and dreamy style she has in her sculpts. So beautiful <3

    10. A lot of good makers have been named already! So additionally:

Nympheas Dolls comes to mind, I am so in love with Brioche!
I also have a Fanny and Moonki. The quality and the resin on all my dolls from Nympheas is outstanding plus I have a weak spot for coloured resin!

Also Twigling as Ingenue is such an impressive sculpt and I am a fan of the body variety concept!

Mister Minou for her phantastic creatures, especially the awesome Mina van Goth!

And last but not least Lillycat for her distinctive style!

    11. For the ones mentioned—I agree with others that said Little Rebel and Rosen Garden (both of whom I have sculpts from that I love to bits). Also, for others mentioned that I don't have any of—I've mildly admired Youpla, and have a soft spot for Atelier Monomi (due to their sculpts reminding me of a dear friend of my sister from childhood who passed away some years back due to tragic circumstances).

Regarding ones that haven't yet been mentioned that I happen to love and admire—I love Meeksdoll's sculpts for their uniqueness (I don't have any of them yet, but hope to have one someday), as well as Lost Chronicle. I've got her Allurial on layaway, and I can't wait to finish that off and receive her:kitty2.

    12. OfButterfliesNThings! She's in the Netherlands, though the dolls are cast in China. Sadly, she's currently taking a break from selling dolls, but there is a mailing list for updates. I have a Paulette and she's about the only truly plus size 1/3 girl I've seen. I love her!

    13. Thank you everyone! So many great artists have been mentioned. I’ve book marked them so I can catch their pre-orders in the future :3nodding:

    14. I hadn't realized there were so many european doll makers! Thank you everyone for sharing :love

    15. Irrealdoll, I believe they are based in Spain. I have an Irrealdoll Nora and she is amazing!

    16. I had never heard of Little Rebel before, but wow I love the body sculpt! I am really in love with sacred_rabbit's dolls (on insta/etsy) they make absolutely beautiful 4 and 6 armed dolls. They are from the Ukraine I think...erm..does that still count LOL

    17. I have purchased from Spain-Irrealdolls, from Germany - Rosen Garden and from Little Rebel which I don't recall where they are from.
