Finding a wardrobe for a B&G (BoyAndGirl) boy

    1. Howdy. Obviously, I am n00b so please go lightly on my transgressions.

      I'm looking to purchase a Boy & Girl Rin with a boy body in the coming year. I adore the face sculpt on him. But I also love Dream of Doll's clothing line, and I was wondering if DoD's DoT clothes would fit on the B&G bodies. Does it fit, and can anyone recommend other clothing outlets that would be good for a B&G?

      I did consider simply getting a DoD doll but, personally, I find their DoT boys' faces a little bland compared to Rin's, in addition to them being more expensive.

    2. I'm pretty sure there has been a similar thread, so perhaps a mod will merge threads for you. But anyhow . . .

      I briefly owned a B&G boy and they are very slender. While he was here, he wore my Volks SD13 girl jeans and shirt, both of which fit wonderfully. I'm pretty sure that DoT boy clothes will be much too big for a B&G boy, since DoT boys are definitely not slimmer/smaller 1:3 boys like B&G boys are.

      Hopefully someone who has done more clothes shopping for B&G boys can offer you some tips on where else to shop! :daisy

    3. Tata's Paradise clothes and Dollmore fit really well on B&G dolls. Here is a picture of my Rin wearing dollmore clothes and dollheart shoes. I agree with dolly they're more slender than Dream of Doll. Also volks clothes fit nice or clothes that were made for a volks doll, like ones that you can find on Yahoo Japan Auctions.

    4. I was hoping to find this thread again! Woot!

      I know you were talking about B&G boys, but what about the girls? I'm finding it almost impossible to make jeans that fit my (girl) B&G Rin. Combine that with all the details I want (working fly, belt loops, etc) and I think I'm just going to give up and buy a pair.

      I'm also looking for very specific shoes. I need shoes that are basically three pieces: one for the bottom of the foot, and two for the sides. Preferably with a zipper up the back (ankle). Any suggestions?

    6. iplehouse pants fit my sapphira really well. while his dollmore jeans always pop open. also a dollmore sweatshirt was way too big. nightfall punk clothing fits great as well.

      iplehouse wigs fit perfectly, just snug enough. luts wigs are too big.

    9. Since the time I posted this thread I've gotten a Rin of my own. He wears Edendoll jeans comfortably, and 8.5cm sneakers from Mint on Card. The shoes are a little big but help with his balance.

      Leeke wigs fit his head fine while comparably sized ones from Volks are too big. I got Niall's wig at Denver Doll.

    10. I have a B&G Afra And he fits the DOT outfits just fine. The overal outfit looks perfect on him just the sleeves of his jacket and pants are a little long, but it hardly matters (long boots, yay!) Also I have a DOI wig for my boy and that fits too, so DOD stuff isn't a bad choice ^^. I wouldn't want to risk the DOT wigs for B&G boys though, they are probably too small.

    11. It could be that the Type 1 and Type 2 boy bodies have different dimensions then. (I'm a bit too harrassed to go look it up atm.) The elf boys all ship with Type 2 bodies, right?

    12. the b&g sunny that I bought from jack on eBay came with a white fluffy wig that was a 9/10 and I found it to be very big. I bought a 8/9 monique wig and it fits much better

    13. I just bought a B&G Ymir and didn't like the wig he cam with and was wondering what wig size fits them, and while making him clothes isn't impossible it's difficult:|does anyone know how well Dollmore cloths fit B&G MSD boys?

    15. The only other outfit my B&G doll owns is Dollheart High Profile outfit, and SD13 platform boots by some unknown maker. Otherwise, he wears the white t-shirt and boxers he came with, or the aformentioned Edendoll jeans.

      I'll get him some more clothes eventually, I'm just distracted saving up my pennies for an Elfdoll K, who will need his own wardrobe too. :...(

    17. The type1 & type2 girls bodys differ in sizes, type2 is thinner in places and weighs less so I imagine the boys ones are like this too.

      8/9 wig size is what I use.

      As far as DoT goes there boys are larger, my friend just got a DoT set for her type2 b&g boy and says it's roomy.

    18. I have a type 1 body, and he seems to have a bit of junk in the trunk xD But it's rather pretty.
      His head fits 8/9 wigs very well.

    19. Here is my beautiful boy Leith wearing Cheery doll clothes. The pants are a bit big on the waist though I thought the length was perfect. The shirt and vest fit him well except the arms were a little long. Despite that he still manages to look pretty good in
      his new outfit.
