It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Groovy Girls?

Dec 9, 2007

    1. Ever heard of I the company? I have a dress supposely made by them. They look like they may be similar in size to the friends 2b made stuff, but these are from the UK.

    2. That stuff is actually better suited for 30cm tinys and similar sized dolls. I have tried MSD and my Petite Ai and it fits Petites MUCH better than MSDs

    3. Yeah - I got some T-shirts from Groovy Girls and they were large on my Bambicrony but looked too small for Narae. Too bad because some of the outfits are adorable.

    4. I'm glad I found this thread *bumps*

I badly want some jeans for my Soulkid, but the MSD jeans are so expensive. Since the old-style Soulkids have a chunkier body than some others I was thinking Groovy Girls clothes might be a better fit.

    5. I had some groovy girls clothes in a clothing lot I got a long time ago and it didn't really fit my MSD. I'd suggest Friends 2b Made clothes instead. Rather like Groovy girls, but much more of it fits MSD sized dolls

    6. when i had an orientdoll tae i put some groovy girls pants on him as like shorts and some shirts they fit him okay.

    7. True - they might fit some fashion-doll proportioned minis - i.e. Orientdoll Dae size, Unoa 2.0, Domuya Flexi-fashion

    8. I was also very curious about groovy girl stuff.....does it actually fr on minis (like say....o i dunno kiddelfs?) does friends2 be made fit on them also? because i know it fits minifees bt what about kiddelfs? i figured it fit to a certant extent because groovygrils i know (i have some) have shorter arms.....i dunno about legs....

    9. wow I never thought of using my old groovy girl clothes that way, thanks for the idea!

    10. Well, I have a MNF Shushu, and I've found that groovy girl stuff fits her fine. Well, at least the outfits that I have do. But she looks good in cutesy and sort of childish preportioned stuff. But if you're looking for an older look, it wont work.

(I have streachy pants, a shirt, and a dress btw)

    11. Do you have a photo? I am surprised they stretch that far (I think Minifee is 17-12.5-18.5), so 3-4cm larger in bust and hips than Groovy Girls.

      Carolyn

    12. I find their clothes fit Volks Yo's pretty well. Fun styles too.
      Nancy

    13. For some reason I'm thinking that I've seen Groovy Girls at Build-a-bear.

Edit: Just so it doesn't seem so offtopic
If it is what I think it is then these clothes can be accessible through that store (Build-a-bear) they're pretty scattered like there's one in Downtown Disney but not in any mall. However, up north (Modesto) there's one in a mall.

      ...it still seems offtopic, sorry.

    14. Im am so extremely jelous of your shushu (who happens to be my dream doll) and im really excited that groovy gril fits them just cuz their a store that sells a bunch like 5 min from my house. thanks for sharing!

    15. I bought a top from Groovy Girls, and since the material was very stretchy it fits relatively well on my small Laidoll Lily, and my AOD Rao. I also bought a dress and, while it fit on my Lily, it didn't look good since the GG dolls have much shorter torsos and the waistline was right under her breasts. The pants will also not fit. The crotch on the GG dolls is way too shallow and you couldn't even alter them to make them fit on a mini.

Long ago, I bought a small GG green sundress and, while I could squeeze it on both my girls and it would fit as a top, it just wasn't flattering in any way. I sold the dress to someone who has a Cutie Delf, and it fits her perfectly! So really, these clothes would probably work better for tinies.

    16. Well, I only have pictures of the shirt. But if you want I can take a photo of the shirt + pants combo

    17. I'm going to take Gwenllian out on a shopping trip (she's a bit jealous because I've bought new clothes and shoes for Lleucu before she arrives), it'll be the first time I've taken Gwenllian anywhere outside my house, so I'm a little bit nervous, but the people in the local traditional toy shop are used to me coming in before work all the time and gazing at the dolls, so they'll probably be eager to help me.

They sell clothes for Groovy Girl and Lilydoll as well as another doll I can't remember the name of, they're plush dolls, but with removable wigs and are customisable to a certain extent, I guess they're kind of like BJDs for little ones  Those dolls are about 50cms, so a bit taller than a mini, but I was looking at their clothes and one skirt looked like it would make a nice summery maxi dress for Gwenllian. So we're going to go and have a look!
