Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. Hard to decide: what to do if you got two grail dolls?

    1. hello everyone

      I am in trouble, cause there are two dolls I really wish to have
      And all of you know, Iple is very expensive

      I love Bibiane because... she walks into the room and people stare at her cause she is so georgous and beautiful
      a lady full of glamour. a sexy lady which sure will look wonderful in the assasins-outfit was made for Mari

      but then the other one


      There is Eva- a girl next door, a natural beauty. A girl you simple need to like cause she seems to be so much uncomplicated and also looks good in casual clothes like jeans and a sweater

      I think I have to dice- I don't know how to decide for one.
      How do you manage situations like that?

    2. 1. Keep saving until you have enough for both -or- if you already have enough buy both.

      2. Get one and save up to get the other. :) Keep that in mind, "I WILL have both eventually" and choose the one you looked at first.

    4. Well, maybe you should just get both of the head and one body, while you're playing with them, you can save for another body. That is, if you're comfortable with flying head :lol:

    6. Oh Iple, you are so notorious for beautiful grail dolls! My two grail dolls also were IH. :D What I did was try to decide who I wanted first--and who was more financially feasible. (Actually, the matter was decided for me because one involved Doll Choice and I clicked the checkout button one too many times looking for a layaway option...) Another good way might be to consider who you've wanted longer. (You can also take into consideration whose going to be cheaper to dress if you don't have the outfits.) Hope this helps!

    7. I like the 'two heads, one body' suggestion. It's obviously not as fun as having two whole dolls because you can't do photoshoots of them both together without some camera trickery involved, but I have a few heads that share bodies and it saves on a great deal of space and means I can play with different dolls whenever I like, just by switching heads.

    8. the problem is: you can not buy head only on iple. on the head sales event there was no head i wished to have. But i am sure they saved the "good" heads for the auctions. Bibiane is the one i wanted longer. Them problem is: in my dreams she is real skin. Like my Eid-guy. Eva is normal skin in my imagination- so if i find head only this idea would not work.
      I want Bibiane longer than Eva. Eva appeared while looking through the homepage of Iple and it was a kind of love at first sight

      I am not quite sure what to do. Somehow I feel Bibiane also needs to be Sid. But Dollchoice is hard. I think I will get Eva first and order Bibiane on the EID-body to be my christmas gift. Hahaha you need to plan generous cause of the long waiting time

    10. Doll Choice is amazing. It's how I got my Beth (Aria was an SiD but I wanted the YiD body)--and she was on sale at the time too! If you look in the forum area, there's a place where they show you what the different sized heads look like on other bodies. If you want one doll and one you'll have to use Doll Choice, then getting the DC one later would probably be better because DC tends to be a little more expensive, especially if Bibiane is in real skin (le sigh on the pretty resins being more XD). And dolly Christmas gifts to yourself are awesome. (That's how I justified Beth. xD)

    12. do you get your dolls mostly for taking pics? if so i would get the one you think you could come up with more scenarios for. other wise i would leave it up to a good old coin toss. like everyone else said nothing is stopping you from picking the other girl up later right?

      then again you could pull the trick i always did. whos cheaper lol

    13. I think you should go with the girl next door first and then the diva after. The clothes and hair will be easier to find in the correct style for your girl next door and in the time you spend owning her you will learn about a lot of clothing/wig/faceup companies that will suit the more challenging diva. Just my .02 ^_^

    15. Layaway is your friend. You can get both if you are patient. So, if there is layaway, you can put them both on there, or pay full for one and put the other on layaway. Either way you can have both. :) ... I LOVE layaway..:)

    17. Yeah.... I learned the Doll Choice no layaway option the hard way. XD Thankfully I had enough funds to get my girl at the time and had put in the options I wanted for her. XD It's what makes getting a basic nice. You get layaway options. :)

    20. Like I was just saying in another thread, all my planned character dolls are grail dolls to me, since a lot of them will take a while for me to afford/get all the parts for...

      I guess I just go for the next one that I feel like? Or try to go for one that maybe covers a base that you don't have covered by anything in your current crew (ie if your grail is a cute MSD punk/goth/kei and you don't already have a similar doll in that size/style). It makes sense to me to fill the big holes first, I guess?

      In short - more variation is more fun :3 get something you don't already have.
