1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Has anyone found/designed a carrying case for Pukis?

Jan 26, 2008

    1. *sorry if this has been asked/covered, but with search down I can't tell*

Has anyone found or designed a carrying case for the Pukis?
I'd like to have something small but safe to haul the dolls and all of their wee parts/clothes about.

Please post pics of what you are using.
      :D

    2. I'm pretty sure someone has been using/suggested using glasses case - think it was in the older puki thread and since search is down ...well... not certain. However, it depending on the type (sunglasses would be bigger in most cases) and if it was a hard or a soft case, then I think it could work rather well.

    3. I got a little hard make-up case with my Secretdoll babyfairy, with foam cut to fit the top and bottom of the case. I think something like that would be good for these little guys. It's about 4x6x8 inches and has a little handle.

    4. Target sometimes has hard eyeglass cases in the $1 bins - I have a few from times past - some skinny ones for my smaller dolls and a few fat ones which came in handy for my pocket fairy. For some wierd reason, craft stores have them too for a little more money. Then there is the normal jewelry section that has sunglasses in just about every store out there where you would find the eyeglass cases. There small and convenient and I think protect the contents of one's pruse or bag from the Puki magnets.

    5. The really large sunglasses cases they have out now (for the really big sunglasses that have been all the rage) should work great! Or if you want something bigger, Sephora has the small hard makeup "train" type cases that would work well too - plus it would have extra spaces for accessories!

    6. I have been looking at the train cases, because they Pukis could sit up and be strapped in (most have elastic "pouches" inside) and still have room in the middle for stuff.
      :)

    7. You all have such great ideas.
      Thank you!

    8. Well for short trips between I think Fairyland has already supplied us with the best ever protection, that little checkered bag they came in. I slip my girl in there and right into my pocket.
But for longer trips I havent really found anything suitable, I am worried that a glass case will not be big enough to have their head in aswell, and even if it is that it would rubb at their face the whole time.
I saw some really cute tin boxes in one store. I should have bought it but I wasnt sure, now when I went back they didnt have them anymore.

    9. i'm thinking of using those little plastic fish/lizzards/hamster tanks with a handle at the top.. line the bottom with some cushions and maybe add a little hamster wheel..
wahahaha what a strange little hamster Jellybean would make..
      get the smallest sizeave
well obviously this can only be used if you feel evil someday and feel like amusing some ppl you see on the streets..
i put my little jellybean in a faux birdcage once and carried her around..its so funny a little girl behind me gave such a huge gasp!
coz jellybean was in her fairycostume and maybe she thought "OMG SHE CAUGHT A FAIRY!"

    10. I bought a sewing case from Joanne's that has a zipper all the way 'round. It's an aligator Kritter case from Clover like these from an eBay seller
      http://search.stores.ebay.com/The-C...agerieQQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsaselZ3595074QQsofpZ0

The case is a firm molded plastic shape that is covered inside and out with a smooth knitted fabric. I like the idea of a zipper so I can drop the case into my bag and not worry about it popping open.

    11. Jonas rides in a metal eyeglass case I had sitting around. I can stuff him in my purse with no problems, and even better, his magnetic feet let him stand on top of it for posing!

      :)

      EDIT: I'll add a picture later. :)

    12. I work at claires, and at least the one i have here has a sturdy little trunk that i think is the perfect size for tinies! i have one for my elfdoll Alice... they cost 10 dollars and realy are study and even have a little lock... there is no padding or compartments inside, but the pillows puki comes with should be a perfect fit inside it! i know my alice loves hers! if anyone cant find them i can potentially try to hook you up with some... maybe ill take a pic of my case later to give you an idea of the size... i think its the best tiny carrier ive ever seen!

    13. I use a Nintendo DS old version case that is perfect for 2 puki, or for a puki with some things.
They also make some with space/compartments, and they are really cheap now that noone buys old DS.

    14. I'm designing a small harder 'case' that will have a wrist strap since they are so tiny.

I'll post showing it later <3

    15. I found a small red case at Chapters/Indigo, it hard sided with a red croco print, it has one large area that is big enough to fit a Puki and then two smaller boxes for faceplates/parts. Unfortunately because the inside is red as well, I need to make a soft white case to put them inside so that the red doesn't stain their resin.

I don't have pics of the case at the moment, but once I get my butt in gear I will take some for you.

    16. Ok, I'm back - I took some pictures of the case for you to see. It closes with a magnet on the outside.

With Piki inside the case and all of his extra faceplates, hands, feet, etc.

Piki standing in front of the case to show how pretty it is!

    17. cudna that is a great case!
Your Piki looks so cute nestled inside.
      :D

I bought a cheap, small camera case today. After I test it out I'll post some photos.
      It's pretty basic, though.
      :)
