1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

have you ever thought this?

Nov 28, 2012

    1. i didn't see a thread like this so sorry if there is :aheartbea

      have you ever thought to yourself "okay, this is it. this will be my last doll." and then went and bought another?

    2. Heh, I'm nowhere near thinking 'this is my last doll', but I can see that happening in the future... every time I think I've planned out the last addition my family will ever need, I realize I'm wrong. I'll probably be filling my house with dolls until long after I'm old and grey...

    3. i have thought that alot..lol just alittle bit ago i saw more bjd's i liked so now there on my list as well. i dont think my llist will ever end :P .

    4. Not for BJDs, but I have with 1/6 fashion dolls. It never lasts though! :)

    5. There is no such thing as a last doll. I look at my family and think if so-and-so was my last doll I wouldn't have this one and that one. Xavier is the last no twins, Bobby is the last no Dad, Eloise is the last no House...

    6. Oh yeah, definitely. More than once.

      I said my Rexy and Laila would be the last, and I'm already planning another... they haven't even arrived yet. Whoops.

    7. All the time! I'm notorious for saying, "I'm finally happy with my doll family! It's complete! No more!" Then less than a week later, "Guess what I just put on layaway!" It's become a bit of a standing joke ;)

    8. My mum says it all the time. :lol: "Now that's your last doll. You really can't have any more. X amount of dolls is enough. You mustn't get another." Of course she knows I will! I'm planning on having thirteen dolls... but that's a very loose guideline.

    9. Well, I keep thinking 'this is the last one for the year!!!' but companies tend to make me a liar :P;;

    10. With BJDs, yes. My Rose is my last resin BJD that I'll probably ever get. Dollfie Dreams? Not at all! Volks never fails to surprise there, so I'll be collecting DDs for a long while.

      I don't like how most BJDs aren't a fullset and just come naked.

    11. Nooooo! I have too many dolls I want to get to stop now! However, I did put a limit on the dolls that are coming home next year to a head, a body and a full doll and that's that. I'm unwilling to hasten doll acquisition any further. xD;;

    12. I still have yet to buy my first one and tbh, I still have the thought of "will this is my last one in case I dont like the hobby"

    13. I only have three, though only one is resin. :(
      The other two are Hujoos. Soooooo.
      I really want a Migi doll Jina for my next one.

    14. I Currently have One floating head, One Doll ( who needs a new body), One doll who is in transit. I then have plans for 6 more >.<.

      Methinks I have a problem !!!

    15. Not with BJD's, but I have-- And I do (almost) always break that rule! I don't think that I'll ever come to a point of having too many BJD's... But we'll see! :)

    16. No, because I will know that I will never hold to it..

      I rather see it as something of a "living" and "evolving" thing.. I can see myself selling dolls, getting new dolls. Maybe even get a "young" doll and after a while sell it to get an "older" doll, still the same OC..

    17. No, I've not even been close to done with my collection. And I keep adding new dolls to my wishing list, so I won't be done anytime soon. XD

    18. Of corse I have done that, and I think that it is fine to do so. After all the bjd hobby is very adicting.

    19. Yes, I have totally done that! I feel like my interests go in cycles. But with dolls, even if I don't collect them for a few years, I always come back to them. There's something soooooo interesting to me about dolls. And there's that excitement of seeing a new doll, or seeing a doll with a level of detail or a look that you haven't seen before - I love that feeling.

    20. i have done that exact same thing this week...I now have 21 girls and i have run out of room...i look like a hoarder!..i too love the feeling of choosing a new doll and i love the feeling of when she arrives....But i seriously have no room left at all...
