1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Have you ever wished you could just win the lottery?

Jun 30, 2014

    1. .. looking at some of the dolls out right now.. :| yes. yes I do.

    2. Of course! I guess this is everybody's dream! =D not only to get the dolls but also to have peace of mind <--sometimes I feel guilty for spending that much money 0_x but it is what it is.

    3. Come on... Who doesn't? BJDs or no!

There are very few people in the world who can't use some extra cash...!

    4. I agree. But sometimes when I look at the luts page or even the MiniFee's or even the DollPoms now.... And all I can think of is.. I want to win the lottery..

    5. Well, yes, of course. But not mainly for the dolls, but to pay off our house, 2 cars, ...that's much more on my mind than dolls.

    6. :)sometime l wish l could win the lottery so l could pay off bills and get more dollfies:lol:.

    7. If someone said "would you like to win the lottery, even if you could only spend the money on dolls (and only dolls to keep, not to sell on)?" I'd still definitely say yes ;)

Having a giant lump of money in reserve would certainly make it less stressful waiting to see what limited edition dolls will be released! Right now I'm biting my nails, because I can't get any more dolls for a while, and I just know something fantastic is going to be released and I'm going to mourn over it terribly :...(

    8. I would love to win the lottery. Just the piece of mind having the money in the bank would be a huge relief.

    9. I feel you! *looks at Volks page* this always happens to me when one of their lotteries comes up and I have no pennies left in my pockets to even try.... X_x I've been thinking "save up, save up!!! for they might release something soon" but then I see something else and spend the little $$ I had...

    10. I thought it would be cool if I could set up a BJD museum in a metropolis and fill it with as many dolls as possible.

    11. Hahaha, definitely, all the time!

    12. Of course I do :P for the sake of a while bunch of dolls? Less so tbh. Depending on the amount I imagine I'd still buy a few dolls, but I'd have bigger plans for such money, like a house! A nice big one out in the country somewhere: imagine the photo shoots! XD

    13. Of course. If I won the lotto I could buy myself a lovely 3 story old industrial brick building in some big city and turn it into a small local art gallery, a space for classes, a rehearsal space/little theater and live/work up on the 3rd floor. That's my dream actually. If I ever made it big I would buy an old factory or something like that and turn it into a performance space/art gallery and a live/work space for me. I'd find struggling local artists, actors, writers and let them have the space to work in too. Get some worthy local artists in for the gallery and work out a commission system of some kind. Not just painters, but photographers, glass artists, jewelers, whoever I thought was interesting, who needed the exposure, and who wanted to have in there. Might even rent out live/work lofts for cheap to artists only if the place was big enough...

    14. That must be cool if I could win the lottery. :dance I would save the money in bank. Some would invest to a small shop or company, some for my beloved family and a part from them would be spent on BJD!!! I don't plan to buy more dolls than what I've planned but...I can buy gorgeous nice clothes for them more!!!

    15. Winning any sort of lottery or large sum of money would be lovely. That being said, dolls would not my first priority if I won a large sum (anything above 5 digits). I'd put a chunk of it in high interest GIC or the max amount into my tax free saving account, and if the amount was high enough, probably use the rest as a downpayment on a house/condo.

Anything below 5 digits, and yes I would probably look into using a bit for something fun (like a doll!), alongside stashing some away and using the rest for stocking up on whatever I need.

    16. I don't even play the lottery but the fantasy has crossed my mind! I imagine winning at least enough to buy a house and a new car, being set for life would be awesome but I try to be realistic with my fantasy. XD There would definitely be a celebratory doll purchase in any case!

    17. When I read the newspaper lately and found out Princess Kate had spent so much money on her new kitchen she could get 40+ dolls (for a grand each), I felt a little desparate. If I won the lottery (which is impossible because I don't play), I would use the money for a workspace and all the materials I might ever need to become a faceup artist. Dreams, oh my.

    18. Wouldn't that be amazing! I'd get all the bjd's I want and take care of all the boring life things that need to be taken care of. lol

    19. Of course, if i win the lottery i could buy all the dolls i want and the clothing, also forniture and the props for all the dolls, that could be amazing, and could get the bigger dolls too :)

    20. I wish I would win the lottery all the time XD I suppose I would never have to worry about missing a limited ever again! I'd also be interested in buying from companies I've never owned dolls from. It would give me the chance to take risks and try something crazy different :)
