Head Markings - Different?

    1. Hey Everyone,

      I've had something bugging me and I just thought I'd ask you guys so I can stop worrying about it.

      I have purchased 3 Doll Chateau dolls via Angelesque and have noticed that the head markings inside the dolls heads don't match.

      Two of the head markings look similar and are quite defined / deep however one of them is only very faint and is not the same marking.

      Is it normal for the head marking from the same company to be different or should I be worried? :S

    2. While I'm not sure about Doll Chateau specifically, I do know some companies change how they mark their dolls over time. For example, my 2007 Angel of Dream Chen has no markings at all and has a headcap attached by s-hook, but when I bought another Chen in 2010, they had changed it to a magnetic headcap and the inside was marked with the AoD feather logo. Both were 100% legit dolls purchased through the same authorized dealer (JunkySpot).

      You might want to contact Doll Chateau directly and ask them about it. I'm not familiar with Angelesque, but if they are an authorized dealer, then I think it's safe to assume that maybe DC just changed their way of marking dolls over time. Is the very different doll a much older or newer sculpt than the other two?

      Angelesque is a listed dealer on the Doll Chateau website so I'm confident they are all legitimate I just thought it was odd.

      It seems the magnets in the two new dolls are smaller than my older doll as well. This doesn't sound so strange after your comments though :)

      The two dolls I received this month are, I assume freshly made and it is one of them that doesn't seem to match my older doll (received last December) and my other new doll received this month.


      All 3 dolls are different sculpts and I believe all came out at different times.
