1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

HOBBYKIT-IMPORT.COM <---NOT recommended!!! Lost $100+

May 29, 2008

    1. I placed an order for some art/face up supplies @ HOBBYKIT-IMPORT.COM in the beginning of July 2007. However, after i had paid for my order I got an e-mail from them saying that they weren't able to ship my order by air post and that they would find another way to ship my stuff. That was the last time I heard from them.
I never recived my order and I tried to contact them several times via e-mail and phone, but with no luck at all.

I had paid using my visa card (not via Paypal) and I ended up losing more than $100.

HOBBYKIT-IMPORT.COM seem to be a rather large company with many customers, so I never expected something like this to happen.

Anyone who may be planning ordering face up supplies from them- please be aware!

    2. Aw, Lotte, sorry to hear about that!!
You might try petitioning your credit card to reverse the charges to you. It happened to me once with a seller years ago in Germany. I was late for the application deadline, but I told the story of how since the seller was on another continent I felt it necessary to wait longer before making a claim. Well it worked for me anyway... It might be worth a try?
      Good luck!

    3. Did you pay with credit card? I know you're not in the US, but have you checked with your card company to file a chargeback since you didn't receive your goods?

Echoing what Raven said, I'd take a look to see if there's any recourse for you. If you have kept track of when you called, have all the emails you sent, it'll make a stronger case for you from your card company.

I know in the US, if you paid with a debit card, some companies don't offer recourse since debit is essentially like paying with cash.

    4. Thanks guys *hugs*

I contacted my bank about it MANY weeks after it had happened- but they informed me that it was too late to file for a charge back. I know now that just because you order from a company that seems reliable/well known, then it's NOT safe to wait and believe that the company can be trusted to sort out the problem.
Just too bad I had to learn the hard way- but I hope this will maybe make other buyers think twice about ordering from this company..
