1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long since you LAST bought a doll?

Jan 31, 2013

    1. There are a lot of threads regarding times of purchase, but I haven't seen one like this.

For me it's been 4 years! I couldn't afford the hobby anymore, and after a long bout of severe depression, simply didn't enjoy it anymore. But now I plan on buying a doll within the year.

      You?

    2. The last doll that I bought was in December of 2011. I don't buy dolls frequently, and I don't have any future purchases planned at this moment.

    3. pretty much exactly 24 hrs ago lol...

    4. mine was 25 days ago for an actual purchase... I also pre-ordered a DDS Momo, however, who won't be paid until fall/winter; but if she counts that was 12 days ago.
These two will be my only dolls for the whole year~ c:

    5. I just got a new (to me) one a few weeks ago, but I have gone as long as two years without buying one.

    6. October 2012 (and she was my first doll), I planned to buy another one sometime this year but because my plans have drastically changed I don't think that will happen

    7. A month and 3 days. She arrived today, actually <3

    8. I'm getting ready to order a tan skin Blueblood Doll Waltz in the next 24 hrs. :)

The last I ordered before him....ummm...I bought a head off the MP last week, does that count? He has no body yet.

    9. If you don't count the two Pucks I allowed myself to keep, my last doll purchase was two years ago.

I'd love to get more dolls - I've got quite a few on my wishlist - but I simply can't afford it right now.

    10. About six months, I think. I might cave and buy another one soon, though.

    11. Mine was December, 2012 - a Doll Leaves Vivian who came with a free 16cm Lian. She is one of two brand new dolls that I own - most of my dolls are pre-owned. :)

    12. After buying Paris's body I ended up taking a break from the hobby. I think it's been 2-4 years since I bought a doll? Not really sure since I'm so horrible with time xD

I am planning to purchase a doll or two in the near future :3

    13. Do you count layaways?
In that case, the last payment I paid off one was two days ago, and if you count first deposit, the last doll I put on layaway was on the 7th of January.
I have sadly developed a taste for very limited artist dolls, so I have to grab the chance when it's there, or I'll probably never own said doll, so I have a tendency of having several dolls on layaway at once.

    14. Just bought one. XD I finally got ahold of an Iplehouse Tamer Luna. I've been waffling over getting one on-and-off ever since she'd been released, so I'm happy to have her home now. :)
She's supposed to be my Last Doll!

    15. May 2012, I think! So, 9 months. But I've got a moratorium on all doll-shopping now anyway, until I can find a new job.
There are plenty here to entertain me until I get back into making doll-money again.

    16. January 2nd was when I put my payment into Iplehouse, so not even a month ago today (and that was for TWO dolls at once!) I actually would like to go longer between doll purchases, I feel like I'm buying a new one every other month =/ Last year I bought 8 dolls so it averaged out to way more than that! If I could go six months without a must-buy popping up on my radar then I would be very proud.

    17. Does starting a layaway count? If so, it's been about a month. The last doll I actually paid in full was just short of three months ago. Still waiting for her to arrive :sigh

    18. I finished paying of my soom Dia on my birthday on the 21st of Jan. 3 other lovies on layaway :). I have an addictive personallity and im either buying dolls or things for them.

    19. Uhm.. Uhm... Uhm... Like a week ago? .__. But in my defense (lol) - I had backed away from the hobby quite a bit to work on my artwork. I wound up selling off most of my collection as well as clothing, etc... So yeah.. >_> haha.

    20. Actual BJD doll purchases, it's been at least 6 months. I bought an off-topic fashion doll a week or so ago, to see if that would help with the urge to buy more BJDs. Not sure if it's helping so far or if it only made it worse. :c
