1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How nutty do you get when you know Dolly arrived at Post Office LOL

Mar 13, 2015

    1. Thought this thread would be fun and funny:lol:
As for me, I have been up and dressed since 6am when I woke up my twins for school waiting for the Post Office to open LOL My family may thinks I'm nuts for losing sleep over a doll but I don't care. Got the pink slip in the mail yesterday and when I ready the words "Cherry" I knew my doll had arrive and all thoughts from then on became DOLLY hehehe...and today is the big day. She will be my second doll which has taken me over a year to be able to purchase. A years seems like 10 years when waiting for a doll lol She is a Luts Delf MSD MIB second had doll. I will post pics when I get her.

And so, how far do you go when waiting for a doll? I know someone who sits on her front porch listening for the sound of the mail man truck lol

    2. Congratulations! There's nothing like the big day. :) It doesn't matter if it's your first or hundred and first.

I have a PO box, so I stalk the package - can't really say "track" - and pretty much the second my doll is available for pickup, I'm there. (Work permitting, of course.) Since my PO closes at noon on Saturdays and they don't always have the box mail up by then - small PO, one person working on Saturday and it's always busy - I've begged the guy at the desk to see if there's a package for me a couple of times when there wasn't a slip in my box. He's always super nice about it.

    3. I'm getting more and more worried about it because the tracking says the package has just been waiting at another post office in my state for the past 4 days...clearly having way too much fun with customs. :|

    4. I once had a notification of attempted delivery, and I was so anxious to pick up the doll I got to the post office before they opened at 7 am. The gate was still down, but the guy behind the counter was nice enough to go get my package anyway. :)

    5. Oh, I'm pretty bad, lol. On a day when I know a doll is coming, when the carrier's site says "Out For Delivery" I am usually sitting there working with a browser tab open and the tracking # imputed into the search bar on USPS or UPS etc. I am checking every half an hour or so till I see "delivered at mailbox" or I hear a knock at my door. I can see the street from where I work so when they pull up I know. Long before they hit the door usually I am out there with the door open, waiting for them to step out of the truck. Usually with the BJD dolls they do come here because they don't fit into our lock boxes but with their stuff it's a crap shoot. The minute I know for sure something has hit the box? I'm down there in 10 minutes or less grabbing it unless I have to be somewhere else when they're coming for some reason that day. :P

    6. My items are delivered to my work but when I see that "Out for delivery" I jump for joy and stalk the windows for the post man! He knows about me and my dolls so he is always jolly for me and probably feels like the greatest person ever when he delivers a doll since I am like "THANK YOU MR POSTMAN YOU ARE THE BEST MOST AMAZING PERSON EVER EEEEEEEEEEE" lol

    7. The last doll I got, I drove my husband mad with the requests to drive to the post office. I don't drive so I have to rely on him and he was getting so annoyed he purposely dragged his feet so I had to wait even longer which only made me drive him crazier.

I really should change my delivery address to my work... or find someone else to take me to the PO when my parcels are waiting.

    8. If I know a doll is going to be delivered I'll update the tracking quite frequently and try to time my lunch break with the mail delivery :XD: With my last doll I missed him by 15 minutes, but thankfully the delivery man left a note for me and said that I could pick my package up that day, only two hours later! I showed up and sure enough they had my box.

    9. I plan my days around the delivery dates like I'll Take off from work if no one is going to be at the house. When I am home waiting I go into stalk the mail man mode. I keep the blinds open and hang out in front of the window. XD I'm trying to train my two dogs to alert me to the mail truck coming down the road.

    10. Congratulations on your doll's arrival then!! XD
I think I'm still rather calm. When I received notice of my doll being shipped out, all I did was to dance around the room for a short while. Then I waited like a normal human being. HAHA. Maybe when the actual box arrives, I'll go mad?!

    11. Since the order of the doll I go nuts and act like a maniac.
      Really aggresive and impatient,

    12. My boss told me to send my dolls to the store. She is just as excited as I am to get it lol she has been asking me if he has been sent out yet and I told her that these dolls can take months to make. But even though he hasn't been shipped yet, whenever I see the post man I stare at him from the counter hoping he'll come in with my boy lol. My co workers are amused by this and will tell me if I'm not at the counter that the post man is here...even when he's not just to see me run to the front.

    13. Dude I die of excitement when I find out they're in the country, never mind in the process of being delivered. I spam all my friends with messages along the lines of "OMG THEY'RE ALMOST HERE THEY'RE RIGHT THERE THEY'RE AT -insert name of postal building- AND WILL BE HERE SOON", and usually a few unintelligible messages XD

    14. It's agony waiting for the tracking to update to say 'delivered'! I try to be patient, I really do....but, on the delivery day, I update every half hour until the package is delivered, and I'm off to get it!
I use a postal store, so I know the packages are safe and signed for, but still have to drive quite a ways to get them! The store employees know me as the lady who gets packages from all over the world, lol.

    15. My heart starts beating fast and I get over excited to a point I lose control and get super happy!!:sumomo:

    16. If I miss a delivery, I go BERSERK. I got called in to work once and my doll was scheduled to deliver next day, so I went in. Then I was double-checking the tracking and found out they had shown up a day early with no notification!! I left work, called the company, and spent a good chunk of the rest of the night crying. He showed up the next day, but ugh. I was SO upset that I could have had him a day early.

Yeah. I get 'cry myself to sleep' crazy. It's bad.

    17. You made me crack up LOL I do so much of the same!

    18. I think we all become stalkers without intending to when it comes to BJD'S lol

    19. Sorry to hear that GalaxyLei. I recently found out that you can actually have your package tracked every step of the way and either choose text or email 4 updates. I got a text every step of the way letting me know times and dates my package departed and arrived. If the post office is not far from you, you can pick it up even without a pink slip. I just did the very same thing. Hope you get our dolly soon.

    20. Bambie Darling: So many stalkers in this hobby lol made me laugh. I even like your mailman now lol
