It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How old is your oldest doll?

Mar 3, 2013

    1. My Cesavier is 6 now ^_^ Does anybody have any old dolls? How have they changed since you first got them? D'you feel any differently about them now?

    2. My first doll is Going on three years old and she has discolored a little but barely...My others are all two to a month old.

And the only difference in how I feel...Is how much more I loved them then when I got them. XD I love 'em.

    3. My first one has turned 6 last year in december, she has changed a bit. First she would wear only black and white, these days she is more into the mainstraim fashion styles.
Her face up didn't changed in those 6 year and I'm not going to change that in the future.

I still love her till death, but I have that feeling with all my dolls though.

    4. My first is just over six years old. It took me a while to find out who she was... she went from being a tomboyish brunette, to a blonde school girl, to finally a redheaded bronze dragon. She has had her dragon person for a looong time now, and I would not change her for anything.

Of course with time comes age. She had mellowed/yellowed a bit, but with her being a bronze dragon, it suits her really well. I do wish I could find her a more poseable body, but I still love her stiff torso and all. :)

    5. I got my msd Volks girl back in 2008. So in a about month she'll be 5 yrs old. Overall she is still in excellent condition. Still love her to pieces.

    6. I got Yuki (DoC Tender Zen) in Dec 2007 so he's a little over 5yrs old. He was my first doll and even though I just got my dream doll in the mail on Friday, I don't think I could ever love a doll more because Yuki is special to me ^^ But he hasn't changed much, his wig has changed to one that suited him more over time and he lost his overly girly persona (even with his now long hair).

    7. I bought my first doll, a new Dollinian, in 2008. She has changed a little as her personality became clearer to me & she got a second & third faceup & new eyes. While she isn't as fancy as some of my dolls, I still really enjoy her & love the way she has evolved.
But the oldest dolls I have are a Volks Nono I bartered for later that winter & a Custom House Choa I bought last winter. They were both made in 2005 & the NS resins of both of them have yellowed, but its more of a mellowing than a stark ugly color change. Nono still has the simple faceup she came with & has kept the same persona I imagined when I got her. Miss Choa went out right away for a new faceup from Jay Searle as I had seen some photos of lovely Choas & wanted her to be like them rather than the original simple faceup.
I spend more time making clothes for my dolls rather than posing & playing with them, so the older simpler bodies work just fine for me, & my budget!

    8. My first doll is almost three years old now. Oh, how time flies!

    9. My first is going to be 8 next month. But my oldest dolls (well, just the heads) were made in 2003. Yet the almost 10 year old MSD head is still a lot lighter than the body I got for her!

    10. My Aoi dates to 2004 c:

    11. My Volks SwD Lucas is 9 years now. He's definitely my oldest, but aside from my IH Kamau, all my dolls are at least 5 years old.

Some of them have yellowed, my Domuya Flexibody especially, but except for said body, I don't mind at all. They've all turned out more beautiful.

    12. My oldest doll is 9 and was very yellowed when I got him (second hand like 4-5 years ago). He's a lot better now due to light sanding/baking soda + peroxide treatments. My first doll is 8 and he has gotten slightly more pale I think (NS)

    13. unfortunately, I keep buying and selling dolls :( so my oldest would be about 6 month old? gosh I should really keep a track of their birth days :D haha

    14. My DoD Too and Bee-a were purchased in 2005, so they're eight years old now. ^_^ They've yellowed quite a bit, and I've changed their style a few times. Right now they don't get enough attention, because I decided I like tinies better.

    15. My older doll is minus days old! She's not arrived yet!

    16. Leto, my oldest and my first doll, is 6 years and 2 months old. He is a Souldoll Sweeni boy. He is still wearing the red wig and blue eyes he came with, but got his fourth face-up.^^ His character and his style have pretty much stayed the same since back then. He has not yellowed, but rather mellowed, his skin colour looks much nicer now than it did when he was brand new. Since he was my very first BJD he has had a lot of my love to himself for a while, and he now has to share with my other crew … But I still love him lots and marvel at his beauty. :)

    17. I have only been into BJDs for less than two years (*blush*), but my oldest doll is between 5 and 8 years old - her first owner bought her in 2008, but inside her head she is marked as being from 2005. She has yellowed a great deal, especially her face, lower arms and lower legs, but I think she is absolutely lovely. In fact, as my other dolls are from 2011 at the earliest, I was especially interested in this older doll and her yellowing. She reassured me; I am quite sure now that I won't fall out of love with my dolls when they yellow :).

    18. My oldest and first bjd ( DZ Shoyo) she is from 2010, she will have 3 years in May owo
