Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. How would you "group" a hybrid? What if it has special body?

    1. I couldn't find a topic about this, or then I just can't use search... <.<;

      I wanted a satyr doll. I wanted one bad. But there simply wasn't one doll enough "Unto" in any firm. It took some thinking, and then I found him, perfect Unto-doll: I planted minifee Woosoo head to Resinsoul Ming's body. I also got the Ming's head, waiting for human body at some point. Hopefully, in end of the year, I'm a happy owner of 2 hybrid dolls.

      Usually, when you see hybrid dolls around flickr and DOA and so on, people group them according the heads, which in most situations make sense. Head is usually most special part of the doll, after all. If you got mini fee head in Dollzone body, it is usually posted in minifee groups, if you got a Souldoll head in minifee body it would count as soulkid etc. I totally get that. But what about hybrids like Unto?

      Resinsoul Ming has very peculiar body, And while I love love love his face, when I take full body pictures of him, his legs kinda steals the show. So when I tag in flickr those full body pics in minifee groups, I feel that they are little out of place. Like he should count as Resinsoul in those pictures. You can see the obvious minifee face, but those legs... I dunno? He is resinsoul-minifee hybrid for me, but in case of posting pictures in groups I got no clue what he should be. xD

      So, when you have a hybrid doll, do you group it by head, body or both? Does it depend on the body and head in question? Does it differ by situation?

      Just being curious. :3 I probably keep counting him as minifee... but he is very STRANGE minifee indeed. <.<;

    2. Almost all of my dolls are hybrids (mostly to give them a leaner/taller look) and in databases etc, I place them in the thread dedicated to their headmold. It's what people are mostly searching for. I usually also add them in a thread about hybrids, just to show the combination for people who are interested.

If your doll is a hybrid, I think they belong in any and all places that concern all the parts that make up the doll - most people seem to prefer to go 'head first', but part of the beauty of having a hybrid is having them made of different parts, sometimes from different companies, so why limit yourself to talking about just one part of your doll (the head) when you can talk about the whole thing?

      On DoA, members can talk about their hybrids in all the threads that are relevant to the doll - so for people with amazing frankendolly hybrids with multiple parts from different companies, the only limit to where their dolls belong on the forum depends on how many different parts and companies are involved.

      I don't have any hybrids at the moment (although my Volks Rose is technically a hybrid because she's on an SD13 body, when original Rose was on a Suwarikko SD10 body,) but when I did I grouped them with different dolls depending on what I wanted to discuss about my doll.
