1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Hybrid question- What body and head have you put together successfully?

Dec 10, 2013

    1. I couldn't find a thread like this, but if there is I understand you might want to delete it. I was wondering which company heads and body's everyone has been able to put together and be successful with. I'm not as worried about resin color, I'm more curious about which necks and inner construction worked with each other and from which company. If the resins matched and you can add that fact, that'd be great too. I'm curious about making a hybrid in the future. What are your fav cheap bodies to put on expensive heads? Or what is your preference when it comes to making hybrids?

    2. My current hybrids are parts from the same company, a Dollzone Mo 2 head on an MSD double joint girl body and a 60cm SD head on a 65cm body. They fit together perfectly fine.

    3. I have AiL and RML heads on Volks bodies, and RML head on a DollsTown body, a A Merrydollround head on a Luts Delf body, an RML head on an old Custom House body, and a Unoa faceplate on a body frankensteined together from parts from several other dolls (Kid Delf boy, Kid Delf girl and a Kaye Wiggs headback, I think).

I used to have a MiniFee head on a Kid delf body, and RML heads on Kid Delf and DoC bodies too, but prefer them on the Volks MSD bodies they are currently on, mainly because I LIKE Volks bodies.

PukiFee heads work on Lati Yellow SP bodies (for a less bobble-headed look than on PukiFee bodies), I put one together for a friend.

    4. I have a Granado/Akagi doll and the match and fit are perfect. My other hybrid is going to require some blushing!

    5. I have an elfdoll enu-a on a domuya flexi body 2, it looks rly good ^^ and the resin colores looks the same ^^

    6. I have a Migidoll head on a Fantasy Doll body (both SD size). The head fits perfectly although it needs a donut ring to rest the s-hook on, and the resin match is almost exact. Best of all, my wallet is still thanking me. ;)

    7. citrushearted - if you know what size you're mostly interested in, I'm sure you could find a lot of answers in the discussions in the relevant sized discussion subforums, doing a search on "hybrid". You can also search for "cheap" or "inexpensive".

There are so many companies out there these days, and so many variations in body size (and neck size), that people could answer here with an astronomically large variety of combinations, which can be confusing. There's no substitute for doing research yourself, and unfortunately, that does take time!

Also, remember to check the Photo Reference subforum for hybrids!
