1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Latidoll "Pharaoh's Curse" Yellow Line series

May 2, 2013

    1. Latidoll is releasing an amazing new series, including the Pharaoh, "Queen NeferLati," a grey cat-anthro as Bastet, an Anubis option, a bird-anthro Horus, and two intrepid explorers unearthing the tomb.

All of the dolls have a lot of options, including choosing between the open-eyed and "Mystic" form of the doll you choose, and having the option to buy two heads and two bodies if you want.

I think that Bastet is about the cutest thing ever -- love where they're going with this line!

I also love the versatility of the options -- unlike many limited dolls, you're not stuck with parts you don't want, and you can mix and match the options.

They are NOT doing layaway, sadly (I checked), but the order period is open through May 27 :)

      So excited!!

    2. You're right about Bastet-now I'm thinking about ordering this little cutie!

    3. These are really really adorable<3

    4. Are Bastet and Horus the first time Lati has done an anthro? I don't recall any previous ones!

(I'm going to have to have her -- these doll companies know where all my big, red, shiny, candy-like buttons are located, and two of them are "Cat-Dolls" and "Ancient Egypt"!)

      :kitty2

    5. Lati did a rabbit anthro once for their Alice in Wonderland release.

    6. Thanks for the info!! I must have missed that one :)

I'm wondering if these have magnets in the heads to hold the crown/etc. parts on -- here's hoping!

      -- A <3

    7. i think they mentioned that the pharaoh's beard needs to be held on w/ a bit of putty or 2-sided tape ... not the most elegant of solutions but *unf* he will be mine!

    8. Oh dear -- I was hoping for a clever magnet! (I wouldn't want to mess up the MSC with adhesive -- then again, if it always stays on, a little bit of clear Aleene's Tacky Glue would work!)

    9. I'm so excited -- managed to get the Pharaoh and cat-Bastet ordered, and a friend is doing a layaway split via http://dolkworld.com/index.php (wish I'd known about them in the beginning, wouldn't have gone crazy trying to get the money together all at once) for Benny/Neferlati (she's keeping the doll, I'm keeping the fullset items), and I'm getting a Mystic Miel through layaway to be my little Queen Neferlati (I think the name has stuck!)

Now to figure out which Pharaoh the little Son of the Sun is going to be named after -- I admit that I may succumb to my base desire to go with whichever one I can make a decent pun out of ^___^

Jolarocknrolla[/url], did you manage to get your order for the little explorer in? :D

      *runs around in happy circles*

(Those of you who have known me for ages know that the best way to push my buttons are [a] cat-dolls, anything to do with ancient Egypt, and [c] anything combining the two above buttons into a giant shiny candy-like red button that MUST BE PUSHED!!)

I have a SOOM Ignim serving as my Bast, I have a long-running project-in-progress to create an IpleHouse/SOOM hybrid (Ender Anubis head, IpleHouse body, "beast" hands and feet) to be my Anubis, and when I'm done, I'm building a little gold-walled shrine to hold my two tall, proud deities and my various Egyptian reproduction sculptures (and my small collection of genuine-antiquity little ushebti -- I have five) . . . and it's going to be fun having the little Lati crew running around their ankles causing trouble!! :D

    10. nope, the button is the sold-out now :( Too bad! Not a lot of people ordered the Pero girl so not much chance of getting her on the aftermarket, i'll just have to make due w/ the human-tan Sophie and the Pharaoh <3

    11. Has anyone here brought for Dolkworld before and been ok?

    12. A friend and I did a layaway with them for two of the Egyptian dolls -- but the ones that I bought directly from LaTi and and paid cash for haven't arrived, either, so I'm not surprised that the layaway dolls haven't surfaced yet.

Why? Are you having any issues with them?

      -- A <3

    13. I am just concerned about paying the final amount on my Egyptian girl I don't want to be ripped off :(

    14. Well, they apparently just asked us for shipping (my split partner was the one who was dealing with them directly), so that's a good sign.

I have still not received the dolls that I *directly* ordered from LaTi (my order still says "preparing items", so I wouldn't be too concerned about the wait time.

If you pay them by credit card, your CC will be able to do a chargeback if you don't get your dolls. I don't suggest paying from your PayPal balance if you're concerned about needing to do a chargeback, because they only give you 45 days to do it.

      -- A <3

    15. Did you ever receive your doll? :)

Mine finally made it (the one who came through Dolkworld actually arrived a week or so before the ones ordered direct from Lati!), and here they are:

While the wait was a mess, they're SO cute, and I'm thrilled to bits with them!

Please let me know if your doll arrived -- I think I was the last person in the general Lati Discussion thread waiting for their dolls, but I haven't seen you posting there, so I wanted to let you know that mine did make it home.
