Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.       The Pygmalion Society is the regular London Meet group. We are organising a large-scale event for November that is open to everyone, nto just the London bunch. Yes, it is a lot of advanced notice, but we want to gvie you lots of time to create your costumes!

      This will our first ticketed event and it has been organised to be accessible to as many people as possible. The ticket prices have therefore been set to reflect this. If any profits are made as a result of this event, they will be donated to Cancer Research UK.

      Date

      Sunday 14th November 2010, 12-6pm

      Venue

      Upstairs at the Yorkshire Grey, 2 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8PN.

      The Yorkshire Grey pub is a huge, dark grey painted building sitting on the corner of Gray's Inn Road and Theobalds Road. The function room has its own door on Theobalds Road. It is the white, glazed door at the Western edge of the building. Look out for the Pygmalion Society sign.

      The nearerst tube stations are Chancery Lane (0.3 miles and a nice straight walk up Gray's Inn Road), Farringdon (0.4 miles) and Holborn (0.4 miles)

      The nearest train stations are Farringdon (0.4 miles), City Thameslink (0.7 miles) and London Barbican (0.8 miles)

      Admission

      Admission will be by advance ticket only. As numbers for this event are very limited, we are setting a limit of a maximum of two tickets per person. If there are some places available as the date draws nearer, there might be an option to buy more. We will keep you posted on this.

      Tickets will be £10 each and will be available from Tuesday 25th May at 9am.

      To get one, please PM me with the number of tix you want and the name of any guest you might be bringing (an online name is fine). I will then reply with the Paypal address to send money to. Once payment has been received, I will email a virtual ticket to your Paypal email address. If you want it sent to a different address, please let me know.

      You will need to bring a print out of your ticket on the day. Tickets are not transferrable as they will have the attendee's name on them. If you find that you can't make it on the day but find someone that can, please let me know and I will cancel your ticket and issue you a fresh one with the new attendee's name on.

      Tickets will be allocated on the basis of the date of your first PM sent. However, if you don't send payment within 24 hours of my response to your PM, you will lose your place in the queue and will need to PM again.

      Facilities

      A buffet lunch will be provided and this is included in the ticket price. We also have our own bar in the room where soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be available. These are not included in the ticket price. All ages are welcome to the event, but only over 18s may buy alcoholic drinks. If you are under 21 and wish to have an alcoholic bevvy, please don't forget your ID.

      Theme

      The theme for this special meet will be the Midwinter Masked Ball. Therefore, feel free to costume your dolls and yourselves in whatever finery you fancy. You can put as little or as much effort as you want into this or, if you don't want to participate, this is fine too. But there will be a vote for the best costumes of the day!

      Features

      These are proposed events for the day. As this is still early days, these are all to be confirmed.

      - Dolly Doctor on Call: An experienced dollyholic who will offer a limited number of appointments to ailing dolls. Treatments to be offered might include restringing, wiring and sueding. We propose that there be a small donation for an appointment with the Good Doctor.

      - Costume contest: A contest for the best-dressed doll in attendance. Voting will be by the other guests at the Ball and there will be a small prize for the winner.

      - Souvenir photo booth: A corner of the ballroom for taking well-lit photos of your lovelies with a fetching background and props. Or make a small donation and have one of our in-house photographers do it for you.

      - Bring and buy table: Bring in those wigs and eyes that no one at home wears and go home with armfuls of other stuffs. As this is a small, relatively informal event, we will not have dealer's tables.

      - Raffle: Each ticket-holder is automatically entered into a raffle for dolly goodies.
