It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Looking for Victorian style/flouncier EID male clothing options!

Apr 9, 2022

    1. Hey there, I remember back when I started out in the hobby, the dreaded "what can I get that will actually fit my EID guy" question plagued me and others. I surfed through the old threads here and didn't see anything super current. Sewing clothes is an option down the line but I'd really like the convenience of ordering something so he isn't naked like he has been for the past 10 years or so lol. (I got out of the hobby very much in part that I was too young to afford actually dressing the gigantic doll I had ended up with, ya know bigger plans for him than my kid wallet could handle after actually acquiring him)

I'm looking for specific shop recommendations for middle of the line priced clothing that'll fit EID male dolls. I know Iplehouse has some cool stuff, but it's just out of my price range, plus I am really not interested in contemporary clothing. I'd rather anything from Asian traditional style clothing to Victorian, just more "period piece" kind of stuff specifically. It seems like this genre of clothing is overflowing for 1/4 size dolls, as well as dubiously labeled "Uncle" sized dolls.

I've seen tons of clothes on various sites (typically the Chinese sellers) that fit the style, but I'm terrified they'll end up being crappy quality or end up being too small to fit the EID body specifically, since I know there are a lot of Uncle sized dolls that are very slender.

Things I am specifically looking for:

-Ruffle "Interview with the vampire" style shirt, poofy sleeves ya know.
-High waisted mens style dress pants

I would love some specific suggestions of sellers to check out- I have been out of the hobby for such a long time, I have no idea where best to look!

    2. But the trousers look awful - they've created the higher wisted styles by making modern cut low-waisted trousers and adding an extra-deep waistband to them, instead of cutting them higher in the waist to begin with. OS they all have that ugly and obvious line right across the front of them at modern low-waisted trouser level.

Sorry I can't help with any suggestions, I don't have EID and I'm haivng trouble myself finding "standard" SD sized Victorian stuff for my boys that doesn't involve commissioning all of it or making it myself.

      Good hunting

    3. Oh man, thank you!!! It's a bit on the higher end of what I wanted to spend, but at the very least I think I NEED that frill shirt. Thank you so much! I think I can probably make the pants, but a shirt like that I'd just pull my hair out trying to get right lmao.

I definitely agree that the pants are meh- however I think I am more equipped to make a decent pair of those more than anything else. They have some awesome pieces though.

    4. Pants look fine to me!

SartoriaJ is absolutely your best bet right now, especially with so many Slavic crafters on Etsy out of business for the foreseeable feature. Freedom Teller also has some limited outfits that would be worth seeking out, as well.

    5. Yeah, I think they have some pretty solid pants options- really wish they had more black options, though for sure!
Thank you for that rec, their stuff is beautiful!!!
