Luts Delf new mechanism heads?

    1. ok, so i just purchased my first Girl body. It is a Lishe body, with the New mechanism. I have the Na-nu-ri head to put on it now, but i'm curious. I was looking at the Luts site, and i was unable to find a SINGLE head that was listed as fitting the new mechanism body, except the na-nu-ri head :(

      are there OTHER heads that will fit this body?

      I know that NEW mech heads can go on the old bodies, as i've done it. But as far as i can tell, there isn't a way to put the OLD heads on the NEW bodies, because there is no 's-hook' :(

      Help? A list of heads that will fit this new body would ROCK! Even boy heads, (if they are femmy) cuz they could work too!

      So far, i have
      Na-nu-ri, and i've heard that the Delf Moon is also new mech.

    2. The S-hook is inside the little piece that sits on the neck of the new-type bodies. You can remove the little neck piece, and string the S-hook up the the headcap on the old type heads.

      I actually have a thread in the Esthetics forum asking if anyone has bothered to mod the old heads to fit the new nech mechanism, but so far no one has replied.
      At any rate, you can definitely get your old heads onto the new bodies! Though I believe there are issues fitting the old girl heads onto new bodies since the neck itself is wider? Someone else will know for sure...

    3. yah, i had heard that the new girl neck is wider, and that the boys and girls are similar in size, so that boy heads can go on girl bodies, and girl heads can go on boy bodies.

      I have a drummel tool, so if it is a matter of making the opening a little wider on the head so that it can fit the neck, i'm sure i can do that. :)

    6. Harang fits the new type body. If you look at the full dolls some are actually sold as full dolls with new type bodies now but as for plain head parts only the nanuri and the moon.

      Best bet is to ask before ordering if you could order a head that is available in the new type as new type head only. The head parts by itself doesn't say if it's new type or old type.

    7. well, the Na-nu-ri and the Moon do :( I just can't figure out why they wouldn't list that with all their heads. Or make them an option that you select" "one touch mechanism" "old style" would be the two options.....you know?

    8. There would also be a question as to the old heads fitting with the one touch system on how their headcaps would stay on, as it's the S-hook that keeps the headcaps on. If you mod an old head to fit on a new type body, the S-hook would fit in the neck, not the head, so how would the headcap stay on?

    10. someone earlier mentioned that there IS an s-hook in the new mechanism bodies, but that its down inside the plastic piece that sits atop the neck. U'd have to remove that, apparantly, and pull the S-hook up and out, and attach it to the headcap.

    12. Perhaps you should suggest it to them on Q&A. I'm sure they would want to do any changes that would help in sales.

      I agree they should add that option I have a tan Soo dark Elf with new body but seeing as they don't sell tanned parts (probably because of hard to match resin issues) doesn't really help me

    13. Easiest thing...go to Luts and click on each doll..some of the older ones like El are type one (S hook) or type 2 (mechanism). Harang is the new type.

    15. Harang has it. Moon and NaNuRi has it. If you look at some of the delfs, they have an option for type one and two. I would look, but I can't seem to get a lot of sites to open tonight.

    16. You can put Old Type heads on New-Type bodies. You just need to restring, removing the neck mechanism (the S-hook is embedded in it), and attach said S-hook to the headcap.

      New dolls now have the option to be bought in either style, but I'm not sure if the optional heads are the same - they might be. :)

    17. You can buy s-hooks at just about any hardware store. All you'd have to do to put an old head on the new body would be take the mechanism out and replace it with an s-hook.

    18. Ok, so i got my girl today. :) I took her apart, and hot-glue coated her joints, and then put her back together. From what i see, there is no difference between the V2 of the Lishe body, and the V1 of the Lishe body, other than the mechanism that sits on top. THe top of the V2 neck is actually rounded, and there IS an S-hook. YOu simply pull the mechanism up, and take it off, and then you can put a regular head on the body, and hook the s-hook thru the headcap. :)

      Problem solved! :D

      also, to put the rumors to rest, you can tilt and pose the new mechanism heads, JUST as well as the OLD style. :)

    19. How difficult will it be to mod a type 1 DES head to fit on a type 2 body? I'd have to modify the hole in the head where the neck goes because the type 2 neck will be too thick, right? I want to get a DES head, but I would be afraid to try and enlarge the hole :shudder
