Luts Questions(can someone move to 'large dolls"? -die-

I don't want to sound pushy but I think this belongs in the General Discussion board (this is the news board).

 

Think you might have hit the wrong forum Cho ( better off in General Discussion, or more likely, Larger Dolls), but here's your answers none the less. ^_^


1. How 'special' are the special heads? I saw some were out of stock, but the one I wanted was in stock. Are they limited quantity? I really want the Yder Special, but I know I wouldn't be able to buy it till possibly in the early new year. In other words, am I screwed?

...special heads... er.Well, like 'Yder Special', 'El Special' etc... aren't special heads, they're a special set that includes a normal boy/girl body, a normal head and an extra head that has sleeping/dreaming eyes. They aren't limited in any way - you just have to catch them in stock. ^_^ If you want the sleeping head by itself, most of them are listed in the Optional Parts section, but you can only really buy normal heads with a body.

2. Yder Special: Does anyone know if there is a tiny slit for the eyes, or if it is solid resin? I need to open them up to get the 'bitch face' I want.

erm, sorry, this would be one I don't know. Usually sleeping heads are solid resin though, unless I'm mistaken. Dreaming heads have a slit, and eye holes at the back. You can buy an eye beleveler though, to help you make the eye holes in the head.

3.Faceups: can you tell them they way you want it to look (or a colour scheme), or is it completely default?

You can give them a description or a picture to work from, but it's not 100% guarenteed - it seems to be a bit hit and miss to if they actually do as you ask. My request came out perfect, but I've heard that some people not happy with theirs. Sending a picture seems to work far better then a written description.

4.Shipping: If I ordered a fullsized Delf, but bought a Ani head and some other junk at the same time, would it all be shipped together? Cheaper then buying at another time?

You can check how much the shipping is by putting through a 'mock' order. Stick everything you want in the cart, and then process the order until the shipping cost comes up (don't go any further, otherwise you'll put through the order!). You can try different combinations of things to see what the shipping adds up to. Generally, if you're buying a doll, adding other things on won't cost you hardly anything more in shipping - it's definatly cheaper to buy it all together then seperately.

Leech on here has a Yder special - she's out of town at the moment, so she can't answer you with complete accuracy, but here's a picture, you can decide how much eye you can see (not a whole lot at all.)

I have a Soony special and I can tell you that her sleeping head is totally closed. The eyes however are beveled, so if you open them you can immediately put eyes in.

Volks sells one, and I think Miniworld has one too. It looks like a ball with a stick coming out of it, make sure you don't confuse them with eyeball sizer thingmagigs though.

They're not limited, nope~ n n They do tend to go out of stock pretty often, but I see them restocked probably two times a month.

I'm pretty sure that the eyes are solid-resin-closed, but I can't be certain seeing how I don't have a sleeping head. :< *want*

This seems to be a big issue for people here on the board. o_O You can request a faceup at luts, but whether or not they actually DO it for you seems to be a hit-or-miss situation. Personally, they did my faceup EXACTLY as I wanted it. n 3n!

It would be better to order it all at once. :3 Shipping would be less, I do believe -- and yes, it would all come together most likely.
