1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Marketplace form question

Dec 26, 2023

    1. I can't post on Newbieland anymore, i don't know why :'(

So, on marketplace I see things such as "I can provide a photo of this item with a handwritten note containing the buyer's choice of text", what does it mean?

    2. Some people request that the seller will write a note of the buyer's choosing and take a photo of the item, as proof that you actually own the item that you're selling.
You can let people know on your listing whether you are willing to provide that or not.

    3. It's because you've been on here for long enough to not be a newbie anymore. ;)

There has been scams in the hobby where somone have posted a picture of a doll the didin't own, trying to get someone to enter a transaction and paying for a doll that the seller doesn't have. A photot with a note with the buyers choice of text is proof that they have the doll on hand at the time of the sale. Notes with the seller user name or the date when the market place post is made is also common, for the same reason.

    4. Thank you for the answers ♥

(but i still feel like a newbie :'))

ok so let me see if i got this right, someone is selling, and i want to know if it's really them. I tell them a phrase, and they write it on a paper and take a photo of the paper with the doll to prove the doll is really theirs?

    5. Yep, you've got it right :3nodding:

    6. Exactly. That way you know for sure that they have the doll to sell.

    7. Oooh that's great! TYSM!! I've been looking at that piece of text for a while without knowing what it meant, wondering if i had to ask for an extra piece of paper from a company when i decide which is gonna be my 1st resin BJD lol

    8. The extra proof is just for second-hand sales - companies are usually trustworthy enough :) (when in doubt, always read company feedback, though)

    9. Thank you ♥ At this point I think i'd only buy from the manufacturers or reseller companies like ACBJD or BJDivas :)
