Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. Mature + Muscular Fantasy dolls?

    1. I have returned from a 10 year hiatus with more specific ideas and plans on what I want to accomplish within the hobby, and as such I spent the last week researching 1/4 dolls... a lot! As someone who likes mature minis and fantasy dolls, this has been somewhat of a struggle. Especially on the male front!

      Here's some dolls I found that I think are really cool (I will be including some 51cm dolls here just because I feel they fit into the range of mature minis still...). I was mostly looking for fantasy bodies as well, which means dolls without human feet or dolls with wings/tails.

      Mature Fantasy Minis
      Some pretty great choices all around here!
      • Dream Valley has many sculpts I like and slightly smaller heads/taller bodies which is nice! But they are all still more on the slim rather than muscular side (they have centaurs, dragons, a manticore, panther, bunny girls and a lot more..love it!)
      • Gem of Doll has some really neat minis although their faces lean more towards cute (I have seen a fox anthro, centaurs, mermaids and more!)
      • Doll Chateau minis are really cool (Hello?? Sasha?? Noah?? They have centaurs/spider taurs and more as well)
      • Fairyland has some mermaids, centaurs and wings (didn't look too deeply here! they do lean cute as well)
      • Coral Reef Doll has a mantis and winged lady
      • Dollzone sometimes has insanely cool fantasy sculpts (such as the gorgeous Yin-Long dragon)
      • Souldoll has multiple fairies, faun/satyr and some of their tarot series is super nice too
      • Resinsoul should be mentioned because one might hybrid one of their fantasy bodies with a more mature head (they have dragon, centaur, faun and elf dolls!)
      • Asleep Eidolon has released a goat girl in Leilani (but she is also leaning more cute)
      Mature AND muscular Fantasy Minis
      The below is really the only example for this I could find, and god I hope there is more! I need some paws or something on a more muscular body as well...
      • Soom's Idealian 51 line has Hornblend and Zinc (Centaur and Demon with demonic tail) who are buff men
      • Miracle Doll's Lan Qi Beast Ver. has paws and a nice muscular female body
      • Souldoll Vito Berial is a tall buff hooved man (oh god I wish he was obtainable..dream right here)
      • Racoon Doll made some centaurs/elves before
      • Iplehouse and Sartoriaj FID has some vampires/elves

      I just wanted to share my current findings and see if any of you has more cool dolls to share! c:

    2. Awesome!!! I would also like to suggest Raccoondoll, who have made centaurs before who are very mature and muscular, and they make elves too! In the same mature mini style - iplehouse FID have had some vampires, maybe not quite what you’re after, and Sartoriaj have had vampires and elves too.

      Good old Resinsoul also have centaurs and dragons and LOTS of different fantasy dolls - they aren’t that mature looking though. Still, there’s always the hybrid option to get a more mature head at least!

      Gosh how could I forget Resinsoul! I have even been thinking about using the Resinsoul 45cm faun/satyr body and maybe trying to fit it with a smaller elf-ear head to mesh better with the others..but that is for another time cx

    4. Absolutely!!! It would be great to have all the options together there up the top! I’m sure there’s others I’ve forgotten too, I’ll see if anymore come to me!

      EDIT: Asleep Eidelon have just released a goat hooves girl. She’s not especially mature looking though unfortunately!

      Also, I do kinda like that girl, she is very close to the line but may still look fine next to the DV ones / some less realistic male sculpts...Buuut I will have to pass for now, the RS hooved body is still a great backup so I am not too worried about missing any on this front cx

      That said I found Souldoll Vito Berial with hooves and I am in love.. that is a dream doll right there. On to the list of impossible to get he goes!

    8. Yeah, unfortunately this isn't a super popular niche (yet?). Fantasy is most popular among minis, but they tend to lean more cute or young rather than mature. DV Ehecatl and Velarde are more on the muscular side compared to most of their dolls, but they're still not the average beefcake aesthetic you might want. And tracking down fantasy parts for hybriding can be tough. Maybe DZ will take pity on us and scale down their slim muscle or muscle 75 bodies to mini scale (their 51 scale is a scaled down version of their 73) and release fantasy parts for it.

      I wouldn't call her muscular, but Dollzone's current white snake girl out is very mature. But she's also massive! Asleep Eidolon also released Valo, who came in both elf ears and human ears, and he was released on the Xaga Star boy body (which is very muscular). But TBH I don't think he fits very well... I'm planning on hybriding or even selling mine. Souldoll has also released some other fantasy heads for their dolls, like a vampire, and Saka comes with elf ears. But they're super behind RN and are overhauling the Vito bodies, so it'll prob be a while before they release any new sculpts for them, or new fantasy sculpts. Sprouting Dragon has released a goat-hooved mature girl, and a wolf-footed boy, though they're on the more youthful side of muscular. I'll also give a shoutout to DearMine--while their DearLover line isn't very muscular, their bodies are noted to be stockier than the average MSD. And they do sometimes sell heads separately, like Cloud's.

      I keep thinking about making a reference list for mature minis and fantasy mature minis since it's what I prefer to collect, but putting together a list and also splitting hairs about what sculpts qualify as "mature" is daunting *_*

    9. Yea most the lovely fantasy is within msd range and barely any SD which is sad because I would love it if they don’t look 16 or younger

    10. Dream Valley recently released a more muscular mature male body. Its human, and a bit on the slimer side, but more buff than the previous ones.
