1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Mature Tiny Shoes

Dec 9, 2022

    1. I have struggled so much finding shoes for my crew of 6 mature tinies. The YoSD shoes I have look ridiculous on their little feet. Where do you find your tiny shoes?? :) Favorite shops?

Bonus points if they have a selection of boys shoes! :thumbup

    2. Here's an option to try, Real Littles Shoes. They're blind box toys of tiny shoes meant as keychains but I have a mature 1/6 that wears them. Not all mature 1/6 can fit them but mine specifically is by Asleep Eidelon (27cm female). Still worth trying as these can often be found locally and only cost around $5. I know Walmart specifically has had them.

Edit: Forgot to add that some of these hightop shoes are very hard to get on and off as is. For those I just cut a slit in the back and they fit just fine.

    3. It depends on what scale you mean by mature tinys, because it is a very broad category. It is crucial to check the inner shoe measurements to make sure they will fit...often 1/6 will translate to a variety of lengths and widths of feet depending on what doll it was designed for...for example, Blythe shoes are often called 1/6 scale but they are smaller than most BJD Yo 1/6 feet, and more suitable for 1/8 BJDs.

For the 1/12 mature girls with very small feet (Elfdoll tinys, Dollmore Banji) I have had luck with some dollhouse scale shoes by Heidi Ott, but make sure they are the vinyl ones and not the resin false shoes with no actual foot opening. Older Kelly doll shoes also have some more mature styles and will fit a score of the smaller BJDs.
For 1/8 kids, I've had success with some fashion doll shoes as well as shoes made for Blythe/Pullip in the 24-27mm range.
For 1/6 scale kids, Leekeworld has great heeled pumps and other mature shoes as does DollHeart. RubyRedGalleria often has more mature styles for their InMotion line that will fit some Yo-sized BJDs as well. Examples here:

Facets by Marcia has some great options: For BJD Dolls. You can also find some great things on Etsy and Yahoo!Japan.

Depending on foot width, some of the male shoes meant for 1/6 scale vinyl action figures can work, but make sure they are actual shoes and not peg feet sculpted to look like shoes (similar to what Fairyland does with their magnetic shoe-feet they often include with fullsets). What I've found is that if they're made of leather or fabric, they're more likely to be standard shoes (military or western figure boots and shoes seem to have a lot of these). Some rubber sport style shoes may work but you may need to slit the back to get them on/off because they don't have standard closures. Unfortunately most shoes made for 1/6 scale female vinyl action figures like Phicen are Barbie scale and often a challenge for standard tiny BJDs without sculpted HH feet, but you may find something that will work.

      Hope this helps.

    4. If the boys are generally Barbie-sized - around 27cm to 31cm tall - then shoes made for Fashion Royalty Homme will often fit them. (The clothes also fit.) Sadly, these can be expensive! People tend to piece out FRHomme sets on eBay and sell clothes and shoes separately, and sometimes they wildly overcharge for these things. eBay is your best bet, although there may be some on Etsy.

A while back there was a Volks line called Who's That Girl? which had a separate section for Boyfriends, along with clothes and shoes for them. Pretty expensive and of varying quality. The girl clothes and shoes are a good fit for many Barbie-sized BJDs, including slimmer males; the boy clothes and shoes are pretty large, closer to action figure size, but they work for some of the bigger boys. Volks International still has WTG? stuff on their site and the items waggle in and out of stock randomly.

Shoes made for Blythe, Momoko, or Licca can often fit as well, although they tend towards a very cute aesthetic that isn't for everyone. These are all over Etsy. I wouldn't recommend the plastic ones unless you're absolutely sure or desperate. Measure the feet first!

Finally, parabox has shoes in all sizes. Quality varies but they'll at least hold together.

    5. The Who's That Girl? Male clothes fit the Soom Mini Gems really nicely.
