1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

More Rugged, Masculine Boy Dolls?

Apr 14, 2013

    1. I'm looking at getting a boy doll next time, but most of the ones I see are very feminine looking. What companies have more masculine/rugged looking dolls that don't cost an arm and a leg? :?

    2. Iplehouse and Soom super gems, Mecha Angels and Idealians come to mind right off the top of my head.

    3. Angelsdoll and MiroDoll have reasonably priced, muscular guys. Granado and Dollzone are mid-priced. What size are you looking for?

    4. Before I settled on my Luts Abadon Senior Delf I looked at DollFamily H. Some of the sculpts were mature looking. A lot has to do with how their faceup is done.

    5. Impldoll Idol line men - they are my favourite rugged boys. Great quality for a fair enough price tag.

    6. I just got a Doll legend Azazel and even though his promo pics he looks fairly feminine but when I got him his sculpt is far more masculine when blank :)

    7. Looking around for myself tonight I found that the Mirodoll Apollo and Hector sculpts are pretty masculine, and currently on a pretty good sale. I figure if nothing else I could use them for practice heads. :)

    8. Granado recently released Udell, a very macho guy who is available in a ton of skin tones. He is also under $400, which is amazing. BUT...he is the start of their new Vindoll line, and is not on topic at DoA - so anyone who buys him and wants to talk about him and show him off has to join the discussion in Brigadoon.

    9. Yeah, I'm truthfully not sure about the v*nyl dolls yet; seeing as how I'm jumping into BJD's with a ton of resin choices all at once, I'll wait for my characters to settle down and then think about more options. But I do love the Granado face sculpts; I'm hoping I can try to get some of the previous ones second hand...

    10. @VoxMortuum The doll that I mentioned is the same sculpt as their resin doll Uranus, and the material has more pros than cons...but yeah, it's all about personal taste. It was just a suggestion for the OP, who is looking for macho at a good price. ;)
