Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     6. Wow, that's a wonderful idea and a wonderful design...absolutely beautiful...but...something seems a little off to me about both the face and the tattoo. Maybe it's just the photo, but are they a little messy?

      I always wonder if back spanning tattoos eventually wear at the mid-torso joint...anyone had experience with this?

My daughter can do body painting on the dolls but even she said that there is a lot of work and shading to this phoenix. (would have to wear very low back dresses). - Barb in MA

      I just got back from a thrilling weekend with the in-laws out of state! (hee hee) My father in law's favorite neighbors are Korean, so he was very interested to hear about my Narin dolls.

      I've been getting emails about the Tattooed Narae. I just found out about her last Thursday from Narin's staff.

      They told me she's got a Chinese phoenix on her. I really wasn't familiar with that, so I looked it up:

      Anyway, the Chinese phoenix is from Chinese mythology. The phoenix is the symbol of high virtue and grace, power and prosperity. Narin's president also adds, "imagination." Anyway, it symbolizes the Empress with a dragon, who symbolizes the Emperor. Only the Empress can wear the phoenix symbol, because it is power sent from the heavens to the Empress. The Chinese phoenix later was only worn by those of great importance, with high moral values, loyalty and honesty. It has the beak of a cock, the face of a swallow, the neck of a snake, the breast of a goose, the back of a tortoise, hind of a stag, and the tail of a fish.

      Another jaw-dropper from Narin Dolls. The inking reminds me of those lovely Chinese translucent vases in shops in Hong Kong. She's definitely a doll to dress in lovely gauzy nothings. I can imagine doing her like Cleopatra and adding some lights under the dress to highlight the tattoo.

      Retail price, US or Korea is $1,320. The doll will take longer than the usual 2-3 weeks to be shipped due to the degree of customization. If you wish a different face than the one shown by artist "Basic Line," please send me one and I can get that done for you. I actually like the faceup done on the tattooed Narae displayed on Narin's site. Her faceup has metallic paint and that never photographs well, IMHO. They will also do one of these dolls for you in the skin color of your choice (snow white, pinky white, golden beige, or suntanning).

      Gee, are we allowed to put photos back in our posts now? I really missed that.. :D

      Yeah, I at first thought "Yakuza" but then after I consulted with Narin dolls about what the tattoos were... I found out they are actually Chinese legends. (I'm one of those old legends and fables lovers here). I my previous post you can learn about the Chinese Phoenix legend. So you could almost call this the Empress Narae...

      The tattoo is permanent and takes an artist days and days to paint. The dolls are LE and only ten of Tattoo Narin and Narae will be created.

      Since our first pre-order, there have been loads of new things on Narin's site that I need to get onto the dollfair.com site. I now have permission to sell all the Korean clothing accessories on the Narin Doll site. I will also be carrying DollHeart accessories very soon (yays! I love DollHeart!). Things got very busy finalizing the first pre-order, so we decided to concentrate on getting that out rather than adding more and more things at the last minute. (especially right before Thanksgiving!) We plan to pre-order from Narin Dolls at least once or twice a month. We are working closely with Narin Dolls, and will never pre-order more than their capacity to deliver. They are working on our first pre-order now, and I've been so impressed with their "all hands on deck" attitude from when our order went in. They've been great.

      I think colored tattoos would be amazing . . . ohhhh, Narindolls is just killing me, I'm saving up for my 43cm Narae as we speak!!

      If you'd like, I could email the photo to Bimong and Mr. Lee, who is the president of their organization. I think they'd love to see it.

      I hope they do many more of these unique creative projects. I suspect we are only seeing the very first of Narin Creative's new works. Bimong was very quiet over the last 6 months.. now we see he's assembled a team of highly creative talent which is bringing us one WOW after another.

      And I think I need to ask the question on everyone's mind... did it hurt???

    20. Oh, I *love* Cinnabons . . . trust me, I'm a little more 'plush' than 'svelte', I've had a few Cinnabons in my life, it's just a slimming angle in the photo!! *grins*

      I'd be honored, if you thought they'd enjoy it . . . please tell them how much I admire Bimong's work, I've been admiring Narindolls since I first entered the BJD world, I'm so happy that it's now finally possible for me to get my dreamed-of Narae (once the money comes together, of course, argh) . . . I'm really excited that Mr. Lee and Bimong and their team of artists are bringing Narindolls out to be available to all of us now!!

      Hehe, I'm all incoherent and blushy now ^-^
