1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

New Auction Site Specializing in Dolls--updated with new categories

Jan 23, 2006

    1. Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that there is a new site for buying and selling in an auction type format. It specializes in dolls only. It was created by my husband as an alternative to ebay.

Right now, there are absolutely no insertion fees. Also, it is much much cheaper than ebay. It was just launched today, so there is not much out there. But the hope is that it will get bigger over time.

      Here is the link:

      www.mollyauctions.com

    2. Oh, sorry I was not clear. Yes, there are no fees now. Just go to the area where it says "welcome" and make sure to use the voucher code given for all the fees to be waived.

Later on there may be fees on sale only, but they will be half of what ebay charges. There will never bne any insertion fees. So you loose niothing if the item does not sell. Hope that clarifies it.

    3. Hi I got an account but when I went to the forum to ask for a new category, it told me I wasn't a registered User O.o;; Do you have to redo the registering to add the forum?

    4. Hey there. Yes, you are correct. Because these are two different software, you have to register in both places. Any category you want can be added, both in Auctions and in the Forums. Right now, the auctions have only the major companies for ABJDs, like Luts/CP, Volks, DOD, Notdoll, Elfdoll, Latidoll, etc etc. But more will be added as time progresses. If anyone wants a special category for BJDs, etc under auctions, let me know. Thanks!

    5. Well seeing that you had Blythes there for sale... How about a Pullip category? I have a couple to sell... I am also on a LJ pullip community, I'll give them a holler about your auction site ^__^

    6. You totally have a point. Forgot about Pullips completely! You got it. The "Pullip" category was just added. thanks so much! That was definitely a glitch. If you want any more special categories, let me know!

Oh, and thanks so much for spreading the word!

    7. since souldolls are becoming somewhat popular you should add the too as well as Angel Region ^_^

    8. belladurmiente87, these two categories will be added tonight! Thanks!

Thanks again everyone! Till end of February everything is free, so you have nothing to lose if teh item does not sell. In the future, if this thing takes off, we will make sure to keep the fees really low so that we have a more affordable auction site to sell at. And there will be no insertion fees at all ever.

    9. Hey. Just letting you know that we added more brands to our categories. If you think of any others, please let us know.

    10. Just a reminder that this auction site will remain free for a long while.

very cool idea, my best wishes with this project, sure people will love it^^
      (starts lurking around;))

slightly ot...or maybe not..sorry if this was asked before, but ids there the possibility to use paypal with this auctions? such as a pypal button or such? ..or is it just like here in doa were people will just let know if they accept paypal and then pm the buyer the account address?
      thanks

    12. lindsayscorner, thanks for the suggestion. We will add DOD category now.

Bunny, thanks so much for the support. Yes, the site is linked with paypal so paypal is the preferred way of payment. Right now, there is no invoice feature through the site though--you have to log on to paypal and issue an invoice to the person's e-mail address from there. But the invoice feature through Mollyauctions is coming with the next upgrade shortly.

I sold a wig recently through Mollyauctions and the buyer paid through paypal. I just logged on to paypal and clicked request money. So I send an invoice that way. Hope that helps.

Feel free to make any suggestions everyone on how to improve the site. :)
