Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. New or Same background story?

    1. have you ever gotten a doll to go intune with another owners doll? have they ever sold the doll to your pair? what did you do, think of a new background story, or keep the same one and just buy a new doll for them to pair with?

    2. I actually just ordered a doll that is meant to go with a friend's doll - but she hasn't ordered hers yet! They are based on characters we have been writing together for a couple of years, and really love. We are close friends, and are excited to have another interest/thing to share! (She will be new to this hobby as well, so I'm sucking her into our world with these dolls, hahah!)

      If she did not end up ordering her doll, or sold him some day, I would definitely keep my girl. The character is so special to me, I think it would not matter if her mate didn't exist in doll form.

    3. MANY times! I role play my dolls, so almost all of them (Except Ay and Xerxes) have stories that mix with those of other people. Of my current crew, I've been through eight "breakups".

      There have been times when I stop playing with the other person, or one of us sells a doll, or revamps it. In most cases, my characters are strong enough to continue their lives without the other character. They may move on to a new partner that belongs to somebody else, or I might buy them a partner (that's only happened with Amir), or they might stay single for awhile. My characters are very much like real people---friends and partners come and go, but life goes on. In a few cases, I have sold my doll, but not because of the other person, but because I was losing the bond anyway by that point. Currently, 20 of my dolls (of 28) are paired with another person's doll. Of them, if they all broke up and their partners were getting sold, I'd make an attempt to buy maybe 5 of the partners. I would do whatever it took, pretty much ANYTHING, to obtain Loki's husband, Spencer (owned by Ivory Stardust) and keep their story going. I absolutely could not change the story to current characters. Just continue it, as life goes.

    4. Practically every single one of my dolls is this; I write a wonderful, rather long, story together with my best friend and all our dolls are actually part of the same storyline and in one way or another paired up between them or connected in a number of different ways. c:
