1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

New Puki bought with wig. Is something wrong?

Jan 6, 2012

    1. I'm used to the elastic-banded wigs one gets when buying for Pullips. The FairyLand wig that I bought with my Puki seems big on her, and there's nothing to keep it from falling off. I bought the Puki, Clothes, and Wig from DDE, so could I have accidentally chosen the wrong size? Or does the wig just sit on her head precariously? If so I may use a bit of sticky tack or eye-putty to hold the wig on... I get it just right, and I move her arms into pose, and the wig shifts otherwise...

    2. I had the same problem - I don't think all the wigs are perfectly fitting even if they are Fairyland wigs. I solved the problem by putting a tiny bit of the hook part of sticky velcro on her head.

    3. I strongly dislike the puki default wigs. Some fit, some dont. Even the one that came with my first preorder puki (before they sold the first batch of puki on the FL website did not fit at all.

    4. There's silicone wig caps and such that may help, but it sounds like it wasn't any fault of your own so don't worry! If you simply can't get it to fit or are totally unhappy compromising then due to long distance selling regulations they have to accept it back if it's in unused/just tried on condition(this may not be 100% accurate where you are/they are but I'm pretty sure something similar goes for most places!) So I'd suggest contacting them for your money back for the wig if you're unhappy though you may have to send it back to them for the refund..
      Good luck sweetness <3

    5. You can also cut off the finger tip of a rubber glove, stretch it and put it on your Puki's head. The thin type of rubber glove that doctors use. Unfortunately FL's Puki wigs are notorious for not fitting well. :|

    6. I have bought Fairyland wigs from Denver dolls as well that were too big for my puki's. Using a wig cap did help though they are still not a snug fit.

    7. What you can do to get a wig to fit if you don't want to use a wig cap is to get a small elastic band and put it around the doll's head. That should keep the wig from falling off.
I try not to buy wigs from Fairyland -- for some reason they are a bit big and the bangs are always a bit too long!

    8. I've just had loads of emails with Fairyland over a pkpk wig. First they asked for photos and then agreed for a refund or swap but I had to do so literally within a couple of days. I was also warned that if the parcel did not arrive with them, then they would not deal with me again ( not sure whether they would no longer sell to me or whether they would just not refund etc in future). As this was all before Christmas it was a rush to get to the post office and I was worried that it would get lost in the post. Plus postage with tracking would have cost almost as much as the wig so I gave up and kept it. I've yet to try anything to make it fit but will try and order a wig cap.

I wish they would just remove the big wigs from sale as they quite obviously do not fit.

      Good luck!

    9. Oh, I was told that it might be possible to return it to a dealer instead but there are none in the UK. As you bought from DDE you should he ok to return to them if you choose to.

    10. Well I have a PukiFee and her wig FITTED perfectly, but now it's like it got bigger <_< So I guess you can better adjust it a bit by using caps or even sew a elastic in it yourself (works too if you are carefull).
