1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

newby post: do you have a favourite colour resin you prefer for tinies?

May 23, 2015

    1. Hi everyone,
(i am new to using this fantastic site even though i signed up some time ago, so forgive me if i am posting this in the wrong place as i have made quite a lot of mistakes so far!)

I would like to know if you 'tinies custodians' have a favourite colour resin that you chose when ordering or searching for new little ones to join your families. The reason i ask this is i keep feeling very very strongly drawn to the beautiful white resin bjds, and can't seem to break away from this.
My reasons are that i love the very ethereal look of the white resin for the tiny people, and it makes them seem just so magical and whimsical that i just absolutely adore white. It just works so well with fairy and pixie type props and lovely oscar eyes!
So far i have realpukis' Roro, Soso and Toki, all in white, and also a white Boo-Giggles living with me, and a Beautiful white Realpuki Ante on the way. I am undecided it my next next doll will be a pukipuki Ante, or a Lati White, also in white.... an loveing researching it all!
I want to post a piccie for you but as yet am not on any online photo stream, so i have to go and join one now so i can show you.
I would love to know what other people think about resin colour.

(I hope i have posted this in the right place, HUGE apologies to the lovely administrators if i have got it wrong... again!)

    2. I sort of have two groups of tinies. The puki puki ect. group and the mature tinies. So far none of them are white. Of the smaller ones, both Real Pukis are normal as well as one Puki Puki and my Dollmore Banji, one Puki Puki and the Dika Doll are tan. Three of the bigger dolls are NS three are different shades of tan, and one is inky black. I recently ordered two more, one is tan and the other dark brown. I have a weakness for tan resin. It makes for such a lovely variety of skin tones. Some of my dolls came home partly because they came in tan. I guess it makes them seem more "real" to me. Although the NS Real Pukis are a witch and a wizard, three tan dolls are elves, and another one is a fire mage. White dolls never appealed to me much, though I may have no more than two in the future.

    3. I'm partial to two different colours of resin.

On one end I love the paper white ones. Like mentioned, they have a ethereal appeal that makes them spellbinding. Somehow to me, perhaps because of the dolls I had when I grew up, they appear more doll-like, as well.

On the other end, I love dark tanned dolls. They are amazing! The darker the resin, the better. I think they're just gorgeous, and also a little bit rarer. At least I have had difficulty finding pictures and the like when I'm browsing the web.

I think it's natural to sway towards a certain kind of appearance in dolls, but I also do believe that the preference can be changed over time. You're just going to have to wait, and perhaps you will have changed in a couple of years.
