1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Nobilitydoll Custom Bill Kaulitz BJD

Sep 18, 2012

    1. This is to share and discuss the group order for the custom Bill Kaulitz made by Nobilitydoll.

What do you have planned for your Bill when he arrives home? :D
Do you plan to go with his old look, new look, or a custom character?

    2. GAH! I am so glad he was approved for on-topicness! I figured he would be, his sculpt came out AMAZING! :D

So, as for plans, he's going to be an original character. Not sure of his name but he hangs out with my Sabik, Mr. Brightside. I have his style down and I THINK I know what I want to do for his faceup but, unfortunately, I still don't know what body to get him. :-( All research I've done hasn't been going too well. Has anyone come across any resin matches? And do you think I could get away with a 65cm-70cm body for him? Or would the head be way too small?

    3. The 65-70 cm range is what we I originally requested with the sculpt so it better fit! :)
I read that ND normal is close to volks normal if that helps any.

    4. I'm also making original characters (twins), if the heads fit OK with the 65cm bodies I have.
As for the faceups, I'm not sure what I want - sending them away abroad or having some one of my many talented friends do them. The characters are elves, so I haven't decided what to do about their pointed ears yet, but I guess I'll make something that can be removed.
I'm not all that worried about the resin match :P I have a lot of odd resin matches in my collection and the most important to me is that the heads look OK on the bodies size wise. ;)

But I might make another Bill and maybe try make a Tom of the other one. Who knows.
(I already have 3 Bill lookalike heads lol)

    5. I did a totally ghetto mock up of him in photoshop (his poor eye blushing is terrible xD), using just the whites of the eyes and the hair from a photo of him.

I have no idea what I'll use him for. I wonder if he'd look more manly painted as Tom...

    6. That is awesome, Enki! What a difference that makes to see it actually all done up...it seriously looks like him! Oh that makes me ecstatic!

    7. i think he'll look good as marked.

    8. I love allegator's works.

    9. I really have no idea at this point what's going to become of mine lol

    10. After the length of time we've spent in the process of getting this one made I'm not at all surprised, shinwoo. I've had some ideas but i want him in my hands first before making definite plans.

    11. ND is preparing to ship our order, have asked for pics and will update as i know more.

WHIIIII :D Looking so much forward to this I could die, lol

    13. Here he is in the resin! [IMG]

    14. I cannot believe I totally missed this! He looks BEAUTIFUL in resin! Man, he's going to be interesting to work with. Now I'm extra wondering what body could work for him. I hope he matches a resin color I have here at home! :D

I'm getting so excited now! :D

    15. I wasn't part of the order, but heyyyy he's looking real good! I'm such a sucker for realism :)

    16. Noted in the order thread but posting here as well.....

After seeing the heads in person, here are some observations.

I tried the head on a Dollzone 72cm male body and the scale is perfect and the head has a great range of motion. I suspect that DZ normal pink may be a good match, and it is definitely darker and pinker than Dollshe fresh skin.

The heads are in great condition, some have gate marks on the top of the head but a little light buffing takes care of that. The ears are a tad bit high on the head which causes some issues with wig fitting but nothing that can't be worked around. He definitely takes an 8/9 wig. I noticed that there are small imperfections inside the eye wells that may cause issues with the fitting of glass eyes. I intend to try and sand the inside of the eye wells on mine. An eye beveler would come in handy for that. Other than that, my only complaint is that his eyes seem smaller in person but some slight opening will easily solve that for me.

    17. I am so happy that the 72cm body works great! I'll probably just get that unless I get entranced enough by Dikadoll's 73cm body. I have DZ normal skin here so I will compare the head for anyone who needs it.

I am so excited! I think I nailed down my concept for my Bill head. He's pretty much going to need a dread wig since I horribly miss the actual Bill's dreads. They'll probably be just all black, though, not black and white. And I decided that my original idea of black leather and halters will stick. I don't care if it's all cliche and whatnot, but it's happening anyway. :D

I don't know, I just suddenly got excited for him and decided to share. I think I may have to move up when I get him a body. :D Let me know how the eye-well sanding goes! Glass eyes are my favorite so, if I have to do some maintenance, I want to be prepared. :D

    18. I've done a bit of googling for ND resin matches and have found entries that say ND is a good match for Dragon Doll normal pink skin as well as Souldoll, both of which are pink in color. Malvagitabella said that Dollzone pink does not match and the head is closer in color to Leekeworld resin.

    19. Has anyone else had luck with resin matches so far?

    20. Not sure if the new resin is different, but you were mentioning Souldoll and mine was never very pink in color. I boufht my souldoll kanguk in 2007 hes a souldoll double boy and now he is extremely yellow, also the ND bill head looks way too big on it, not to mention the body is so yellow.
